Woody red with lasting off white head. Richly hoppy, welcoming fruit medley sweetness - oddly gassy later on? English strong performs very crunchy sweet malt with a decent stab of pine, soft grapefruit and hugs of juicy bitterness with whisps of funkiness. I’d like to get hold of another one, as this was a bit sharp edged on the hop front to see how it softens up, but mostly an excellent beer.cgarvieuk (24515) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 12, 2013

Winter Beer Festival 2013. Brownish bronze beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is malty with some gentle roasted elements. The flavour is smooth with a good degree of bitterness and malts. Overall a nice malty and bitter beer.
