Well hopped aroma, fruity, herbal and light grassy. Red colour, beige head, very nice lace. Very sweet, quite bitter, fruity. Both English and non-English as well. Soft, low carbonation.
Tasting @ De Molen Warehouse. Red colored brew. Smooth textured. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Flavor has a good taste of dried fruits and sweetness. Nice one. RichardGretton (4770) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2013

Winter Beer Festival 2013. Brownish bronze beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is malty with some gentle roasted elements. The flavour is smooth with a good degree of bitterness and malts. Overall a nice malty and bitter beer.

Bottled. Reddish color, short head. Hoppy aroma, caramel and toffee. Good bitter taste. Firm malty body. The english equivalent of an american barley wine? Good balanced brew.

Woody red with lasting off white head. Richly hoppy, welcoming fruit medley sweetness - oddly gassy later on? English strong performs very crunchy sweet malt with a decent stab of pine, soft grapefruit and hugs of juicy bitterness with whisps of funkiness. I’d like to get hold of another one, as this was a bit sharp edged on the hop front to see how it softens up, but mostly an excellent beer.Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2010
