Had a pint with Chopz at the renowned Quinn’s Ale House. Pours a small brownish foamy head and has a dark brown appearance. Has subtle roasted malt aromas, mild coffee. Flavours are pretty light coffee, mild chocolate and hints of caramel, maybe even a little bit of brown sugar in the mix. A bit of sweetness on the palate. Somewhat nutty as well. Has a slightly watery, mild mouthfeel. Weak lacing. Pretty good overall, would have again. rejtable (2819) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 29, 2014
Tap at Lunenburg pub. Pour black with a big frothy head and lots of lacing. Notes of vanilla, coffee and earthy bitterness. Taste medium sweet and light bitterness. Creamy body with lively carbonation. Nice beer. GRM (4145) - Aylmer, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 8, 2014

Pretty decent porter. Pours black with decent head and lacing. Aroma of light coffee and roast malt, with some hints of caramel without being overdone. Thick, creamy texture. Finishes with light sweetness and bitterness, in good balance. Like this but probably still prefer the Vanilla Stout by a smidgeon. Tap at Quinn’s. Had this beer at Patty’s Pub. This beer pours an opaque jet black with a thin brown head. The aroma is of chocolate, liquorice, and espresso. The tasting notes included coffee, roasted malts, slightly sour mash, and sweet brown sugars, and an oily finish. Not bad, but I have had better.

Drank on tap (12 oz) at Black Tomato (Ottawa) on February 26, 2013. Very dark brown, thin head. Mocha coffee aroma quite sweet, very malty. Bitter coffee taste, but with a sweet touch, notes of chocolate malt, slightly bitter. Very comfortable to drink! Metalchopz (3474) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 25, 2013
Pours a dark brown colour with some red highlights. Tanned head that goes down quickly, but leaves a creamy coating on the brew, with minimal lacing. Sweet toffee nose with hints of bananas mixed with the caramel malts. Medium-bodied with light creaminess and decent stickiness. Mild roasted malts with caramel notes. Not much coffee felt here. Little burnt malts slightly lingers. Does get better as it warms up (and with food), but seems like a light stout more than a coffee porter. Mild dark fruits eventually come out. pushkinwow (2889) - Ottawa, CANADA - FEB 17, 2013
Tap at 2013 winterbrewed beer festival. No opportunity for this one to fully warm up with outside temperatures of -19C with windchill however did my best to enjoy this beer. First beer from this brewery. Some roasted malt, and bittersweet chocolate. Mild body and moderate carbonation. Fairly dry and a pleasant finish. Not bad at all. A dark brown porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light vanilla, no coffee. In mouth, sweet mocha caramel with smooth chocolate, Ok.
