651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, thick, well retained, light beige head, over a clear, dark brown (SRM 35) body....nose is chocolate, cocoa, hints of coffee from the roasted malts, minimal herbs from the hops, no hints of esters......taste is heavy coffee, lighter chocolate from the heavily roasted malts, some hints of sweetness from the less roasted malts mild herbal hop bitterness, finishing with a combination of roasted malt and hop bitterness.....mouth feel light of medium, alcohol hidden, carbonation makes a creamy texture. This is a very simple, much too light Sweet Stout. The oatmeal has been used with a light hand resulting in a watery mouth feel, where a creamy texture would be welcome. The malt bill could use more crystal/caramel malt to bring in more sweetness and complexity. BJCP 6/3/10/4/6 Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - SEP 3, 2013
August 2012. From bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Chocolate aromas with roasted malt. Medium carbonation and flavors somewhat lacking structure. smaynard6000 (1152) - Apopka, Florida, USA - AUG 10, 2013
22oz bottle. Pours a black color with small beige head. Aroma is chocolate and roasted malt. Roasty flavor with a bit of chocolate in the finish. Not quite as bold or full-bodied as I expected. I enjoyed this. Rrauth (1196) - North Carolina, USA - JUN 30, 2013
Bomber. For some odd reason this tastes like a porter and not a stout. Smells like a porter too. Thin in density of color and on palate. Hints of coffee. Overall a disappointing stout as it lacks stout qualities.

Sampled at DLD 2013. It poured dark brown color with a beige head. The aroma was of light roasted malts and sweet chocolate. The taste was of roasted to burnt malts, sweetened coffee and a hint of chocolate. Nice.

And so Slutfest drew to a close for me. Really it closed with me hanging out, eating awesome food and drinking colas for a couple of hours. But this was the end of the beers at least. Black to dark brown. Aroma is dirty chocolate and coffee. Flavor matches, just kind of light chocolate and earthy stuff. Blech. Drake (13661) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 13, 2013
Bomber shared at Slutfest 4. Pours a clear dark red color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, herbal hops.. The taste is nutty notes, caramel, herbal hops. Thin-medium bodied. Decent. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - MAR 14, 2013
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown color with a moderate off-white head. Nose is a little bit toasty with some notes of oatmeal in there, but no chocolate. Taste is a bit dry to me, and I can get a hint of cocoa on the back end. Meh. JustDrinkIt (261) - Arizona, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Nothing to write home about. Seems to have an awfully thin mouthfeel for something as dark as it is. And as I write this I feel compelled to mark aroma and taste down another notch each. Try it, forget about it, move on. PorterPounder (7896) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 8, 2013
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits (Betton) - 22 oz bottle. Pours a dark jet black with an initial frothy khaki colored had that dissipates quickly. Aroma has some very bitter chocolate notes, a hint of creosote. Flavor improves as it warms and presents some cold black coffee, unsweetened bittersweet chocolate, nice roastiness that is really picked up as it warms. Some marshmallow sweetness in the back end adds a bit of contrast. Decently thick mouthfeel.
