Hazy deep amber color, decent beige head, lace. Fruity, resiny hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Starts quite salty, woody, piney flavors, good bitterness, lingering licorice in the aftertaste. Quite good drinkability compared to IBUs and ABV. Good solid, "salty" DIPA. Piney flavor stays in your mouth for ages.
Hazy but vibrant golden-red. Abundant tropical fruit nose (mango, grapefruit) with light orange and wood notes. Really rich...massive resiny, woody hops with grapefruit, mango and lemon signature and a healthy dose of earthy, breadcrusty crystal malts. Drinks pretty easy for 9.6%, no wonder that growler got me tipsy. mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 22, 2014
On tap at Wet Dog Cafe / Astoria Brewing, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma is strong, with notes of resinous and piney hops, and caramel malts. Flavour is extremely robust and intense, with loads of woody resinous hops and just enough malt to back. Loads of IBUs on this one showing their full colours. Almost too intense - certainly a kick in the face. Excellent, but only for extreme hopheads. bhensonb (15083) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 9, 2007
Strong hop aroma. Perhaps a combo of floral and pine. Possibly citrus lurks. Really nice smell. Very hazy deep amber color with a white head that quickly filmed. The hop flavor is strong and mixed, at the start. I vote for pine and floral. Light carbonation. Full bodied. Good malt backbone. Dry, bitter finish. Leaves the mouth redolent of pine. Perhaps a bit of citrus sour at the back of the mouth. Ferris (15003) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 2, 2015
Draft - Sweet caramel and grapefruit. Clear copper with a rich beige head. Clear copper with a beige head. Sweet caramel and grapefruit notes, lots of bitterness but fairly balanced.

A hazed amber copper ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, pleasant piney and floral hops, caramel malt, orange pulp, wild grass, quite nice. In mouth, an intense grassy hops with lingering bitterness, grapefruit, a bit agressive. On tap at OBF Fringe Fest Belmont Station, July 30 2011.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a hazy ruddy orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops aroma with notes of honey and pine. Medium body with a moderately hoppy character with piney and citrusy notes, along with sweet malt and honey in the background. The finish is hoppy with a tart citrus aftertaste. Pretty good all around, almost like Hopslam’s younger brother. DuffMan (10270) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 14, 2010
On tap at the brewpub, also sampled at the Spring Beer Fest in Portland. Hazy red-orange with an orange-tinted head. Intensely hoppy aroma featuring citrus rind and mango, some coniferous undertones. Earthy toffee malt supports a rich bath of hop character: lots of tropical fruit and resin. Heavy mouthfeel, oily, with an intensely bitter finish. So good! gnoff (10226) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - JUL 5, 2015

Clear deep amber color, teal head. Bitter, pith, citrus taste. Pith aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, high bitterness. Hoppy, pith scent.
Deep amber pour. The aroma is intensely hoppy. Fresh pine resin and spruce. Aggressive resinous bitterness. Enamel-peeling really. A little bit of fruit and a lot of bitterness. Pretty solid IIPA
