A hazed amber copper ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, pleasant piney and floral hops, caramel malt, orange pulp, wild grass, quite nice. In mouth, an intense grassy hops with lingering bitterness, grapefruit, a bit agressive. On tap at OBF Fringe Fest Belmont Station, July 30 2011.

Hazy deep amber color, decent beige head, lace. Fruity, resiny hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Starts quite salty, woody, piney flavors, good bitterness, lingering licorice in the aftertaste. Quite good drinkability compared to IBUs and ABV. Good solid, "salty" DIPA. Piney flavor stays in your mouth for ages.
On tap @ Astoria Brewing Co. Golden amber in color with a small off white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, alcohol and a light soapiness. Flavor is very bitter and a bit harsh, there is a bit of caramel malt but the bitterness is definitely the main focus, some alcohol heat as well. Medium body with average carbonation and a tongue numbing mouth feel. This is a palate wrecker of a beer, so strong, bitter and harsh. Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - MAY 19, 2011
Upon my first sip, I knew this beer meant business. Surprisingly bold ... and a little rough around the edges, albeit kind of tasty. Rich caramel and toffee. Slight acidic burn on the gums. Hops made me think of flower soup. Bitter bite in the finish and aftertaste. Good beer, overall, but I found it to be a little harsh and abrasive in some ways.

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy light amber pour. Huge pungent, citrus hop nose. Taste is smooth crisp malt with a huge citrus hop bitterness. Good bitterness on the finish, nice brew. hoptimist (99) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 18, 2010
Growler into Imperial pint. BIG grapefruit citrus and resin hop nose. Nice caramel malt to balance. Crystal clear copper-orange, off white persistent head that leaves nice lacing. Medium caramel malt sweetness and a medium high resin and citrus bitterness. One second of malt on attack that is blown out by the hop rush that follows. Long bitter finish. Fairly dry, a touch of alcohol warmth. Medium body, assertive carbonation, cricky! Solid. leems (406) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 17, 2010
Tap. Cloudy orange with a dense white head, astringent hop aroma, less astringent hop flavor (pine) long bitter finish. raphael (1254) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 15, 2010
Big hop aroma, woody with citrus, & caramel. But the flavor a bit narrower, harsh hops, not quite grapefruit not quite aluminum, hops implied cause this doesn’t get fully nasty. Slightly hazy dark amber w/ a real creamy head. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 14, 2010
