Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a murky tea color with a thin white head that evaporates to nothing pretty quickly. Minimal lacing to speak of. Aroma of fruit and earthy malt. Light body with mildly roasted malt and fruit flavors, as well as a touch of hops. The finish is grainy malt and does not last very long. Barely average and forgettable overall. Sampler tray at brewpub. Poured a dark amber with a small white head. Aroma of caramel malt, light pine hops and some grain. Flavor caramel, small bit of hops and strange grainy mouthfeel. Not something I will feel the urge to drink again. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - SEP 3, 2009

Aroma: Nice malt and good amount of hops in the nose.
Appearance: Dark Reddish in color, Clear with a light head.
Flavor: Malty sweet brew. The hops helped balance this brew out. Somewhat like a biscuit flavor.
Palate: Dry Sweet Finish, with a Great Mouthfeel.
Overall: A nice red beer this was a great start to the trip.
