Light golden, almost chardonnay like hue, with a white foamy head. Light pinapple aroma. Sugary pinappley taste. A bit thin really with nothing much else to note. Completely forgetable.

5% bottle from Local Products shop at E.Leclerc Supermarket, Saint-Jean-d’Angely, France. Cloudy brown-red coloured with a thin white head. It has a sweet fruits of the forest and vanilla flavour followed by smooth cherry and strawberry on the slight herbal and warming finish. Much better than I was expecting.

VDuquerroux (1868) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - JAN 27, 2016
Bottle, 33cL. Home. A sparkling scarlett beer with a medium white head ; average retention. First, candy with red berries aroma, then rosé wine. Medium to heavy sweet, acid note, light refreshing. Light body, thin oily texture, soft carbonation, sweet candy finish. Overall, first, I was thinking : "sugary sweet, no hop, no hope", then to be honest, even if it’s light, 1-dimensional and very sweet, well... very drinkable with a pleasant candy and rosé touch.

Drunk from 33cl bottle bought on the ile d'oleron. Enjoyable beer with added pineau des Charentes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle named Rubis, but the same beer. Looks good, admittedly, but it stops there at the Ruby red looks. Artificial sweetener and chemical Strawberry. Candy, Yuck. Taste is horrible, like a poorly made watery soda. This is ridiculous. I’m sorry, but really? Just add wine to beer if you’re so curious, but why the extra ’natural aroma’? Did not finish. (33cl bottle from a mid-France supermarket, on the way back home)

Draught at shoppingcenter in Perigieux b (HyperU). Frothy White fair mostly deminishing head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. light bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Watery palate.

Originally rated April 2007. Just in at the LCBO, this beer mixed with Pineau des Charentes. As much as I like all type of alcohol, dessert wines are not in my tops. Still, I think this is a great idea (made in Cognac, France). Colour is golden clear with some rust in it. Very carbonated and head is creamy, huge, with good retention leaving wavy lacing. The nose is bready with a slight touch of perfume. Very smooth mouthfeel with just a pinch of stick to it. Sweet taste, but not as sweet as I thought this would be. Sweeter on the lips, than in the flavours. Some mild bread, honey and grains. Not much aftertaste, disappearing quickly. Overall, pretty interesting and worth trying for sure.

Bottle, this one grew on me as I drank it more but I didnt like it at the beginning, Overall it wasnt bad, it had a strange after taste, it was kind of like blueberrys or some sort of berry, the beer was a golden colour, with a lager like taste with the berry backround

Bottle. Poured hazy light brown with thick head. Very harsh aroma. Flavour is kind of sweet with a hint of dark fruits. Finishes sweet.

grandgenie (259) - val-des-monts, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 12, 2009
Dégusté avec french tickler le 4 mai 2007. Clear golden poor with lots of effervescence and a thin foamy beige head. Aromas of cask, caramelised malts, the sweetness from the pineau des charentes and a slight twist of ginger. Way to sweet, very syrupy... almost artificial... 99% sweet, 1% other... serious lack of balance in this beer. Very soggy tasting and fad.

Lubiere (14151) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 9, 2008
Golden ale with a thick white head. Lightlysweet caramel aroma, notes of oxidation and apple puree. In mouth, a sweetish corn adjunct malt with apple juice, cloying sweetness in beginning. Light bodied. Bottle from LCBO about 1 yr old.
