Designed to accompany more robust dishes such as venison, beef and wild boar. It also complements blue cheese exceptionally well. AROMA ripe blabkcurrants with black cherries and light chocolate. PALATE blackcurrant and molasses over full-bodied dark roasted malts. FINISH dry and bitter with slight sourness and dark fruits.

Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of chili, berries, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of chili, roasted malt, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

[email protected] Deep rubyish brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is earth, leather, some slight spicyness. Flavour is blackcurrant, vegetables and some quite earthy notes. Unpleasant flavour.

Dark red - amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry. Mild minerals. Tangy malt with sweet and sour blackcurrant. Finishes slightly papery and dry. Interesting but clunky.

Bottled 330ml (vPBF; BB 10/2012)
Dark opaque black color, small steady brown head. Dusty, caramel-coffeish, blackcurrant leave aroma. Medium-bodied. Tartness in the front. Black currant, some roasted notes, soya sauce. Quite weird porter.

Benzai (16682) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - FEB 19, 2015
Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque murky brown color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, weird, dark overripe fruits, dried fruits even stronger, pretty dry, also plant - like flavors and sourish. Pretty disappointed with this actually.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is blackcurrant, taste is too thin but nice and fruity nevertheless.

33 cl bottle @ vPBF. BBE 10/2012.
Pours hazy red color with minimal head. Aroma of grass, mild malts, fruity notes, dark berries and some sugar. Flavor of dark berries, grass and mild malts. Way too stuffy and unbalanced.
