3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Hedgerow fruits, some earthy malts and a touch of leafy hop, before a decent, bitter finish. Fine.
Bottle from Beers of Europe.
Appearance - definitely very lively. Golden when it settles.
Nose - cheesy and a touch of honey. Sulphur.
Taste - more cheesy malt on top of stale malt.
Palate - light to medium bodied and cloying.
Overall - not good at all. Suspect better on cask and this can’t be what the brewer intended. SamVimes21 (537) - - JUL 1, 2016
Cask @ Trewellard Hotel, Cornwall, hazy golden with white head bitter with some fruity taste and a fruity aroma, this was a bit to sweet for me . Beese (3064) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2014
Cask gravity at the Watford Beer Festival 2014. Poured a hazy copper, with a dense white head. Aroma of oranges, grass and floral hop. Root vegetable in the flavour, with earthy and malt notes. Finish was peal, tangerines and metallic bitterness. imdownthepub (15130) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2014
Cask conditioned at Oxford Beer Festival ’14. Hazed gold with slight head. Again, toffee, caramelised sugars to the fore, little else came through unfortunately. Not for me. Stuu666 (14561) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 18, 2014
