Farmhouse Wheat Ale. Easy to drink, but hard to pin down, Balloon Boy is a refreshing Belgian-style wheat that is fun for the whole family.* Subtle tart citrus up front gives way to a beautifully complex fruitiness. A wheat ale that sits well with every kind of beer drinker.

12oz can. Farmhouse wheat. Guess that means an infected gushing wheat. Monstrous foamy white head. Gross aroma, though the big hefe tone keeps it almost bearable. Same thing with the flavor, off infected warm sour over carbonation, but some big banana hefe notes too. Rather gross the more you sip at it and the more whiffs you get of the infection.

Tap at brewery in Chicago during glbtq. Light filtered gold with small white head. Light citrus nose. Some light banana, some sweetness, some spice. Pretty good.

Taste: Yeast bread, some tart fruit, tangy, semi sweet, herbs floral; and same with the nose. Gold, maybe slight haze, big foamy white head with some lace. Balanced and medium body.

At the Daily. Not quite a wheat ale, not quite a traditional farm house and hoppy that either. Ends up working out. Serving: Tap

12 ounce can no dating. A: Hazy yellow gold, big head of foam, lots of sticky lacing. S: Yeasty, fruity, cloves and coriander. A hint of funk. T: Cloves, white pepper, light bubblegum, yeast, lemon. Enjoyable. M: Body is hampered by, what I reckon is too much carbonation. O: Tasty and satisfying Farmhouse.

Slightly hazy, yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has wheat with a hint of earthiness. It has a light body with average carbonation. The taste is mildly bittersweet with a quick, clean finish.

Shared 12 oz. can poured to a snifter showing a clear, golden hue, with a bubbly layer of soft white foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was soft grain/wheat, light spice/phenols, a hint of banana, with a touch of ripe & earthy scent. Light to medium bodied, with low carbonation, the taste was somewhat similar, with less expression, and a thinning texture. Lightly treads between Wheat Ale and Saison with fair refreshment.

Can. Hazy pale golden. Light body. Wheat, light spice, and mild citrus. Not much farmhouse funk. Decent.

Pour is a hazy golden with a huge white head. Aroma is yeast esters with some bubblegum sweetness. Flavor is more of a grainy wheat malt with some citrus tartness. Smelled like a saison, drank more like a wit. Pretty good take on doing something different with your average wheat ale.

Can. See-through pee yellow, a ton of white head. Lace is prevalent but meek. Coriander, citrus, wheat, bubblegum and cloves in the smell. Tastes a little funky. More wheat/grass here. Still some spice and lemon zest but the earth takes over.
