Draft. Orange, apple, candi sugar, malt, and straw aroma. Amber with small head. Moderately sweet light citrus, candi sugar, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter quinine/hay flavor. Good body.

Brown pour with a lot of tan head. Aroma is earthy and citrus. Flavor is light malt and earthy tones. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Different but solid

Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice hazy light brown head. Aroma of rich malt, earthy and caramelised sugars with a nutty and definitely funky yeast smell. Medium-bodied; Strong nutty flavour with some good grain and funk and a touch of hops near the finish. Aftertaste shows some grassy and herbal notes with a little funk as well. Overall, a very interesting beer with a slightly herbal and floral flavour, but more of a funky, caramel and nutty flavour that isn’t a typical for the style, but decent to try. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Washington (P Street, Logan Circle), DC on 16-December-2015 for US$10,99 sampled at home in Washington on the 4th of July 2016 in celebration of Independence Day, watching the fire. works over this fine city.

Some orange peel, caramel and clove, with a spicy profile. Quite bitter. A bit hot on the finish. Plenty of spice. Medium length.

Some caramel and some light resin. Doesn’t come together super well, and finishes on the boring side. Pours maroon without much head. Light sweet finish with some unfermented sugar flavor. Tap at Glens.

Darker "saison". Quite malty and more of a winter warmer. Pretty good. Nice lacing in the glass.

Spicy, slightly savory, mildly floral/herbal, slick and slippery. Works well as both a winter and spring seasonal.

bbertels (501) - NORWAY - DEC 30, 2014
Tap at The fainting goat, DC. Almost mouldy notes for aroma but this quickly gave way to fruit, yeast and some hops. Excellent rich taste - also with hints of wheat. A very, very nice beer for sipping.
