Can at R.F.D. Murky brown pour with small skin of head. Difficult one here, so many elements in play. Rye ale and old ale come to mind. Musty, tart aroma . Taste comes in with some funk and wood. Mildly spicy with minor rye sourness. This one’s all over the board, but good. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - FEB 4, 2017
Reddish brown appearance with a large cream colored rocky head and good lacing. Aroma of grains, especially the rye, leaves a lasting early impression. Spicy, floral hops prevail in the taste and linger in the finish. Body is a bit lighter than expected but far from disappointing. geologyguy (1629) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - JAN 21, 2017

Thanks go to an old college friend for bringing me my first D.C. brew. And a pretty good one at that. Some nice grainy hops with a bit of a nutty finish. Not the biggest rye fan but this is solid. Emeister84 (2505) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JUN 18, 2016
Aromas of grain, toast, subtle pepper, some caramel, black tea, floral. Clear red-bronze with orange highlights, with a fairly lasting white head. Mostly dry, toasty, some spice, herbaceous, citrusy. Medium bodied. bytemesis (8778) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUN 14, 2016
Tap. Pours clear hazel brown, medium beige head, great lacing. Aroma is roasty rye, pine, hints of citrus. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, rye spice. Medium light body. Solid. jrob21 (3760) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 11, 2016
Can at the nats game. Big caramel sweetness. Hops are English and mild. Little bit of bitter grassiness. Ok. slowrunner77 (12456) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUN 6, 2016
Dark amber pour. Huge rye spice Caremark and bready nose and flavor. Bitterness is there, but the hop flavor and aroma seems quite faded. No date on the can, but seems on the old side. Intriguing enough to seek out on tap one day.
