5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
"Complex flavor" is an understatement for this beer. Way more to it than just being a standard pale ale with a bit of rye. Great balance between the malts, rye and hops with the citrus hop profile coming through little bit after the rye. Incredibly versatile as it is easy drinking enough for a hot summer day but will definitely work well through the fall and winter. My new go-to.
12 ounce can from Tavour. The beer is a cleqr dark amber with a white beige head of foam. Good head retention. The aroma is spicy, earthy, and floral. The rye spice kicks in through the taste very well. Medium body and medium to high carbonation. Decent overall. I really enjoy how the rye is captured in this beer. shrubber85 (11397) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 13, 2017
Can. Orange, rye malt, and herbal hay aroma. Cloudy brown with moderate head. Mildly sweet orange, rye malt, and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Good body. Solid. weihenweizen (3825) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JUL 12, 2017
Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into a glass mug. Opaque medium brown with small beige head. Aroma is strong rye, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is spicy rye, some floral hops, and some citrus hops. Bricks (1126) - Delaware, USA - MAR 8, 2017

Dark brown, Nice sturdy head. Smells resiny, oaky, toasty. Taste is sweet bread, woody and some coffee notes. Very dry finish.

A lot going on here. Spicy rye meets piney hops. Nice result. Throw in damp, wet grainy notes and you have a winner. stevoj (5036) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 13, 2017
Can at R.F.D. Murky brown pour with small skin of head. Difficult one here, so many elements in play. Rye ale and old ale come to mind. Musty, tart aroma . Taste comes in with some funk and wood. Mildly spicy with minor rye sourness. This one’s all over the board, but good. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - FEB 4, 2017
Reddish brown appearance with a large cream colored rocky head and good lacing. Aroma of grains, especially the rye, leaves a lasting early impression. Spicy, floral hops prevail in the taste and linger in the finish. Body is a bit lighter than expected but far from disappointing. geologyguy (1602) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - JAN 21, 2017
Malty smell, taste is lightly hoppy.. that’s mostly what it is, some carbonation, but it’s light, no diversity and Rye taste..At Irish whiskey public house in DC after march downender (8658) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2016
Can from the ’Craft Beer Corner’ at Fedex Field, Maryland. Pleasant rye beer, with earthy and spicy malts, berry fruits, leafy hops and a dryish finish. Enjoyable.
