"Complex flavor" is an understatement for this beer. Way more to it than just being a standard pale ale with a bit of rye. Great balance between the malts, rye and hops with the citrus hop profile coming through little bit after the rye. Incredibly versatile as it is easy drinking enough for a hot summer day but will definitely work well through the fall and winter. My new go-to. tsd08460 (1170) - Marshall, Virginia, USA - JAN 14, 2016

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2013 On tap at ChurchKey. Weird beer! Not a traditional IPA (CKDC lists it as one but...), not even close. Aroma of toasted nuts. Flavor is full of hazelnut. Hops are there and they provide some kick... but they seem to be secondary? Fascinating beer. brownaler (663) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - MAR 19, 2016

Thanks go to an old college friend for bringing me my first D.C. brew. And a pretty good one at that. Some nice grainy hops with a bit of a nutty finish. Not the biggest rye fan but this is solid.
