UPDATED: MAR 6, 2015 Unfortunately had this one last so it didn’t stand out as much as it could have. Every brewpub has to make this beer, the beer for folks who are used to BMC. However this one was pretty decent. Serving: Tap Christpuncher (3112) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 11, 2013
A typical ale golden in color. Pours a ligh yellow in color and has a bitter finish. Tastes slightly malty as well.

Straw color with a bit of ehite head. Light clean taste with a nice blend of hops. Sweet medium finish. Super easy to drink. crossovert (12874) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 22, 2013
I like what the hops are doing, the malt not as much, it is very plain and slightly sweet. kaser (6312) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 13, 2013
Draft at atlas. Syrupy taste. Thick for the style armpit aroma. Dirty blonde appearance. Not really a fan if this. Earthy straw taste.

ampler pour on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). My first stop in saw 10 drafts. This was one. Pours a dulled yellow straw hue, gentle haze, some glow to the body. Nice white head stays as a mellow layer, laces ok overall. Sticky around well. Aromas are mellow grainy sweetness, kiss of dough, bread. Gentle kiss of fruit. Light and mellow. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some earthy hops up front provide a bit of bitterness, some florals and more grass. Bready malts, dough, straw. Touches of dryness, florals, a nice firmer hop presence provides and earthy floral and grassy hop slanted backend and finish. Dry, some touches of bread, dough, straw. No spice, better hopped than expected. Nice lacing, pleasant firmer hop presence. A bit bigger in body, lots of grass at times. Nice, I think. Solid and a more distinguished Golden Ale to me, not falling into the bland pack. drewbeerme (3920) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 7, 2012
Pours slightly haze golden with white soapy head. Aroma no real hop
character, lots of that wet grain twang, green but not in a green hop
sense, almost skunky like a light struck beer, Flavors is odd, wet
grain, some type of cleaner, caramel, grain husk, slight peppery hop
Flavors, I dont know enough about beer to understand all that is wrong
here, but pretty terrible and oddly refreshing at that same time. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Draft at Atlas. Pours an attractive deep gold with a frothy white head that sticks. The nose presents with an odd earthy component, overshadowing the light floral hopping. Some faint fruitiness as well. On tasting, has a husky graininess to it, lending a savory/earthy quality. Also pleasantly fruity and citrusy. Really odd mix here, would be interested to see what the grain bill looked like. deyholla (11597) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 21, 2012
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has light grains and hay with a nice crisp grassy hop note. Flavor has a bit of grain and hat with an nice grassy finish.
