Dark amber pour from draft at atlas. Menu says 8.5%. Thin head. Aroma of pine and mild caramel. Taste is citrus and pine with big hops and mild bitterness. Almost my wheelhouse. Goooood beer!

Tasted on tap at Atlas in Chicago. Hazy golden color with a thick white head. Hopped grapefruit aroma. Citrus flavor that’s hoppy up top.

Tap flight at the brewpub. Light golden pour with a foamy white head. Juicy tropical fruit nose. Taste is similar with honeydew and casaba Mellon. Not at all astringent and very drinkable. Small in the mouth with Mellon flavors staying behind. Nice. DrnkMcDermott (3141) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - SEP 23, 2012
4 oz. taster at Atlas. My nose has a bit of a cold tonight, but this is the first beer here where I really got a good whiff before tasting it. Thanks to the elevated alcohol content (which the beer list now shows as 8.7% instead of 10%). A nice alcohol delivery system that can sometimes overwhelm the hops. Lots of chewy malts matched to a full citrus hop note. They say grapefruit, but I didn’t see it as being that tart. Just some citrusy goodness. I would almost think this beer could hold its own against a Hopslam. kseecs16 (1216) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - JAN 20, 2013
Rich citrus hoppy aroma. Golden amber with a soapy off-white head that leaves a sleeve of lacing down the glass. Full bitter flavor, somewhat thin body. Good solid hop forward IPA.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a gray head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of citrus and earthy grapefruit with a slightly sweet grain backbone. Flavor has more bitter grapefruit with a hint of pine that mellow slightly in to citrus and sweet grain in the finish. hombrepalo (1972) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 13, 2012
4oz pour. Poured a medium and clear orangish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of melons, caramel, floral hops, and citrus. Tastes of toasted malts, caramel, citrus and had a lighter grapefruit finish.
