Bottle from Centra.
Deep gold beer. Full malty depth, grains and cereals. Liberal use of hops, giving grass and flowers - the whole sumemr meadow. A lovely little beer that can stand up with the best pilseners from most countries. DrouthyNeebor (10) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 10, 2012
500ml bottle 3.9% ABV from Tesco.
Delicious and refreshing light pils with a hoppy bitterness, nice bite and lasting butterscotch/barley sugar aftertaste.
Along with Schiehallion and Black Isle Blonde, a real competitor for the Scottish lager crown.
Incidentally, my label was dark blue and had dropped the "highland". I’m assuming this is a subtle rebranding and not a seperate brew? johndoughty (5398) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 27, 2006
Bottled.Golden appaerance and a pleasant crisp flavour. Some bitterness but generally well rounded. The bottled version comes out at 3.9 per cent although its fullness gives the impression of a stronger beer. An excellent and very drinkable beer. sound67 (731) - Offenbach, GERMANY - NOV 2, 2009
50cl dark brown bottle, label as pictured.
Typical clear yellow golden colour with big, fluffy white head, good retention and plenty of lacing.
Surprisingly heavy-bodied for a blonde, with thick mouth feel. No beer for wimps, this.
Intense aroma of hops, with a fruity citrusy note. Why can’t Czech pilseners smell like that ... ?
Hops feature strongly on the palate, too. There’s a refreshing dry, citrusy note to this beer that almost makes it appear a cross between lager and IPA styles. Medium bitterness, increasing as you’re downing the beer - with a mildly bitter, but very dry, straw-like finish and after taste.
This should be a supremely sessionable pilsener, straightforward but characterful, and there’s no skunkiness here anywhere. Most agreeable. Graham77 (514) - SCOTLAND - JUL 1, 2013
500ml bottle. Aroma is biscuity. Flavour is very hoppy with a background of biscuity malts. Excellent head retention with plenty of lacing. An excellent session beer at 3.9%ABV, plenty of flavour. Really good stuff from one of my favourite brewers

Straw coloured beer with a strong grapefruit aroma and flavour. Finish is sour and hoppy. Very drinkable. chrismuirhead (1) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 30, 2007 does not count
Clean and zesty flavour perfectly balanced with a firm hoppy nose. Wonderfully refreshing beer with an alcohol content that lets you keep your head even when quenching a serious thirst. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 12, 2010
Bottle at home. Clear straw golden - white head. Light malty, straw, hay, grainy, grassy, light wood notes, citrus, light zesty, light spruce, light light sweetness. High drinkability. Nice. Pinball (12060) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 13, 2010
clear, slightly hazy yellow, smooth offwhite head.
beautifully hopped, citrussy, flowery, a little pine and grapefruit.
flavor is flowery, pretty bitter, bitterhoppy, aromatic, a little malty base.
one of the very best beers i have tasted with a below 4% alc level, and a real gem of a british beer. superb session beer i’m sure. this half-litre sample will go down real quick for sure. RexTalionis (3722) - FINLAND - JAN 21, 2011
Bottle 50 cl. Poured golden colour with white head. Aroma is fruity, malty and some toffee. Flavour is sweet dry butterscotch with some fruity citrus tones too. Slight bitter finish. Quite good.
