Cask conditioned at The University Club, Oxford. Amber with white head. There is a full flavoured character to this, leafy, bitter hops, some peachy fruitiness with a touch of alcohol. Drying, woody notes later. Pretty good.

Appearance: Ambar and dark golden with a nice foam head. Aroma: Grapefruit with subtle mature fruit aromas. Taste: Malt well integrated with the bitterness that lingers long into the finish. Medium carbonation. Notes: Atom Beers is a small brewery located in Hull (East Yorkshire). As they said, Atom is a combination of two passions, beer and science, and the result of this is to get the best performance of each element which the beer is composed. Atom has been nominated as the best brewery on East Yorkshire. Was difficult to find their beers in York but I contact with them and they gave all the details to try to find some bottles. When I drink this IPA, it remembers me to the classic American IPAs. Served in an IPA glass, this beer is quite malty and bitter with a long ending bitterness with a persistent foam. I really enjoyed this beer with Thai food.

Garrold (4963) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2016
Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Hazy, bronze colour. Good, dense, sticky, off white head. Light, jammy, and marmalade hop. Some candied peel. Taste is zesty bitter. Some pith. Decent body. Long, pithy bitter finish. Some dryness on the close. Decent beer, although I maybe expected a bit more juiciness. A bit dry and pithy. Im being picky, but thats probably because I do like this brewer.

rauchbier (3870) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JAN 12, 2016
Bottle, from Message in a Bottle, Cleethorpes. Hazy gold, thin but sustained white head and gentle condition. Pleasant blast of grapefruit citrus hoppiness in the nose, some slight graininess and a touch of fruity yeast. In the mouth it is full bodied and hop heavy with lots of citrusy resins and a base of muted sweet malt, with a building yeasty bitterness that lingers long into the finish but still cannot subdue all of the hop resins.

Half pint, keg at Minerva. A beige head over a near clear apricot coloured body. Solid lacework. Mild grapefruit nose. The taste profile follows suit with grapefruit and pine needles. Rounded bitter ending. Tasty ipa (shared with Finn, Hull 25.11.2015).
