Cask handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, Monday 17th September 2012 Pours dark brown, a little hazy. The handwritten description suggests ’Chestnut, hoppy with dry fruits and a long lasting bitterness’ other than the colour much of the rest of this description is fairly off the mark, IMHO Yes it is fruity, but actually more nutty, malty, bit boring, and the hops are non-existant. I usually quite like Atomic but this is my first for some considerable time and not as good as I recall. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.9

On tap at City Arms in Cardiff. It poured a very dark amber liquid. Hoppy beer with dried fruits, flowers and a long lasting bitterness. It also had an aftertaste of ash which I didn’t appreciate. DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 14, 2012
Cask gravity, Coventry BF, 13/04/12. Chestnut with a loose off white top. Sweaty hop, some liquorice, waxy berry aroma. Robust and balanced with juicy cranberry, husk, bitter high cocoa afters.
