3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Cloudy dark orange color. Medium white frothy head. Lots of lacing. Grapefruit aroma. Bitter grapefruit flavor. Medium palate. Not thick at all. Good drinkability. More like a regular IPA. Missing the sweetness that I’d expect in a douple. Overall good, but not great.
On tap at Mad Mex Robinson. Pretty nasty stuff. Aroma was burnt caramel and Pine Sol. Pour was a light brown with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was same as the aroma. Big burnt sugar and malt in the front with a medicinal bitterness in the finish. Some metallic notes as well as Terpentine in there as well. Carbonation was good but that couldn’t save this beer ordybill (1758) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - JUN 1, 2016
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. This beer has a murky amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma is mostly malt. The taste is more malt than hops and has a slight bitter aftertaste. A really good brew from Atwater. Cybercat (5834) - Georgia, USA - MAY 12, 2016
Pours clear, bubbly copper-brown with a thick and rather persistent frothy buff head. Aroma presents subtle hoppy and citrus tones, not strong but give it a chance. Bold flavor delivers woody hop, malty and citrus tones for a pleasing if not spectacular IPA. An alcohol nip appears in the finish. Mouthfeel features decent fizz and body. Maybe not worth a conniption fit - or likely to cause one - but give it a fair shake. AWISLguy (3109) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 30, 2015
Bottle from Ray’s in Tosa. No bottle date. Hazy orange pour. White head. Aroma has fruits, heavy pepper, pine, some tangy grapes. Taste is rough. Piney over pepperage, and some fruits. Not what this could be, but not had
much luck with this brewery either. 10.8

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear Amber color with a thin white head that settles to a film. Aroma is sweet with alcohol and almost no hop presence. Same goes with the taste, not getting much hops, leans way to the malt side. Finish is sweet and dry. Not really great.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear medium amber color, beige head cover, stripes of lace. Taste is cloyingly sweet caramel malt that grows until solid citrus hops intervene on the swallow. The hops try to keep up, but the malt is too much. Big, decent, but not much more. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - FEB 20, 2015
On tap at Detroit airport, guest tap at their Gordon Biersch. Poured a lightly hazy medium towards dark orange, good head. Aroma slight of citric hops, caramel malts, hint of tea. Flavor was a bit of tea and somewhat floral hops, light citrus hop, and a lot of sweet caramel malts. None of the flavors really stood out - just sort of a hodge podge that didn’t really come together for me. Not horrible, but just not for me either. mmill527 (85) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 7, 2014
I love double IPA’s but this one is not too good. Smells like stale alcohol and taste is "medicinal" hoppy with an odd metallic aftertaste. No sir... not for me. BrownALEx (459) - Portland, Michigan, USA - OCT 5, 2014
Malty, citrus aroma. Cloudy light rust color with great lacing. Tastes of citrus hops and bitter hops. Palate is full bodied. Overall a wonderful dipa. Do not understand the low rate. arminjewell (9664) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - SEP 29, 2014
Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought sweet orange and grapefruit, kind of syrupy with some pine, grass, hints of caramel and toffee, touch of floral notes. Taste was a mix of sweet orange marmalade, grapefruit, pine, grass, some spice, hints of caramel, finishing bitter, dry.
