COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Holding true to the Northern English tradition, the Decadent Dark Chocolate Ale has at its foundation a nutty profile with a round mouthfeel. added is a Chocolate Extract consisting of three blended chocolates of varied depth. The result is a rich, but not overtly sweet, experience for both the beer and the chocolate enthusiast.

Pours a smooth black color with mild carbonation. Taste like chocolate syrup. Very sweet and best for dessert.

Smells very chocolately...tastes like a Dr pepper float! Very unique! Smooth malty taste...very low hops...good and med strength

chocolate, black, In a bottle. After pouring, I smelled the bottle with a sinful smile. Upon tasting the brew, I realized I was having a great dessert. After I had finished, I wanted another Decadent. This is a chocolate lover’s dream beer.

Bottle. Pours an opaque brown-black with a smooth, even-grained, lacy light brown head. Nose is milk chocolate, maple, brown sugar -- extremely sweet. Not as sweet on the tongue, and very lightly carbonated; has an almost pipe-tobacco complexity that adds to the richness. Too light on the palate, though; mars what would otherwise be excellent. Takes it down to only good, but still, good.

Great chocolate ale. Loved the on tap and very good in bottle. So smooth and great chocolate aroma and taste!

Dark brown with brown lowlights. Aroma of dark chocolate, cookies, roasted malt and Hershey’s syrup. Taste of dark chocolate, and sweet roasted malt.

This stuff is weird and disappointing. bland, way to chocolate dominated, gets overwhelming. Billed as a stout. Bizarre.

Great chocolate aroma and dark color but too light, felt like I was drinking a Chocolate Coors Light

chucklemation (1719) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - OCT 25, 2013
Dark brown color, no head. Has an amazing dark chocolate smell, but the taste is underwhelming. Has a watery feel. The taste is strongly reminiscent of a weak Dr. Pepper. Palate is strongly carbonated - a little too harsh.

Bottle sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Slight coffee and chocolate. Loads of grain. Light, watery body. Not a fan of this one.
