Brewed in strict German tradition, Purple Gang Pilsner is a steady reminder of the German domination of brewing before and during Prohibition. A light malty sweetness yields to the fine flavor and aroma of the noble Tettnang hops.

Aroma - grain. Look - clear, light yellow. Nice foamy head. Taste - ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear light gold with very little head. Aroma is estery glass. Flavor is riddled with funk and has very little redeeming qualities. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not really bad. Nice fairly dry straw malt and the right hop aroma. Slightly harsh bitterness.

Cybercat (6036) - Georgia, USA - JUL 21, 2017
Taps clear straw yellow with a thin porcelain head. Aroma features a little fresh malt and that’s it. Flavor is better, though, fresh malt and resiny hops plus a whisper of sweet pear. Mouthfeel presents typical body, OK fizz, and a somewhat hoppy finish. Get your purple on.

12oz bottle. Poured a golden color with a large sized head. Grass, straw, sulfur, and some grainy.

Fresh bottle from Champane’s Cellars. Cheese in smell and taste, unfortunately more in latter. Carbonation right there. Minute amount of hops. More drain pour.

MohaBeer (285) - Lima, PERU - SEP 19, 2015
Dorado con opacidad, buena espuma con adherencia. Lúpulo floral moderado, malta maltosa baja, ligero DMS. En boca lúpulo alto, amargor excesivo para el estilo, malta maltosa baja, oxidación, frutos secos. Final seco en exceso, lupulado con ligera astringencia y frutos secos. Carbonatación moderada, cuerpo bajo.

Huge foaming white head that wouldn’t stop coming. Somewhat dry, malt and trashy hops with a dry, but not bitter, finish. Pretty run-of-the-mill.

Draught at Atwater in the Park, Summer 2014.
Clear, very light golden body has lazy carbonation coursing upwards to form a small, poorly-retained white head.
Well, looks like another terrible bottled product from Atwater Block. The draught version was passable, though there’s really no comparison between the beers brewed at the Detroit location vs. the beers brewed at the In the Park location. Very dry, grassy, leafy hops with some biscuity/grainy maltiness, maybe a touch of corn-like character and no alcohol.
Dry, at least, with soft herbs, minimal spiciness and pretty straightforward white bread-like maltiness. Ample, yet loose carbonation dosent really add much crispness and it does come off a bit fizzy and very watery. Eh, had worse, but will stick to the Park-brewed beers next time I’m there.

bottled (variety case) - pale golden color. Not much aroma - smells like a wheat beer. Flavor is just ok. Nothing special.
