Sweet carmel aroma and taste. Firm body. Average head. Alcohol well hidden. Top notch brew from what I considered an "average" brewery. Patrickctenchi (6806) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 11, 2012
Pours woody, nearly clear brown with a tall, thick, tan head.
Aroma is nutty witha slight vegetable/tomato hint.
Taste is nutty, yet still retaining a slight vegetal aspect..very malty.
Actually, quite tasty...caramel malt, slight bitter...slight alcohol burn at throat...but otherwise the 10.9 ABV is absolutely hidden.
Quite enjoyable.....good stuff. alobar (3966) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 26, 2012
Pours a caramel brown color with n off-white head. Aroma of nuts, bread, caramel, and banana. Rather tasty with nuts, bread, caramel, and hint of banana. Nice beer! skoll (420) - Traverse City, Michigan, USA - JUN 15, 2012
12oz bottle. Small beige head atop murky dark brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some cherry, light earthy. Taste is very malty and yeasty with some good nutty flavors to finish out. Only have one to drink but I would drink it again.

deep amber with small head. sweet and malty with caramel and nut. quite a bit of bitter hops in the finish. there are a lot of flavors going on, and they just don’t mesh for me. alcohol is decently hidden though.

Yes here’s another beer inspired by the devil. This one’s a couple years old, so it’s flattened out a little and has booze all over the aroma. Also present: wheat, caramel, and dirt. It’s crimson orange- maybe a weizen-heller bock to be precise. The flavor is heller and not doppel as well, only with even sweeter because of the wheat. It’s mainly sugary though, as the high content kills off any banana noted the wheat might impart. Needless to say it is kind of syrupy, but is more approachable than say, EKU 28. It is not the equal of that brew by any means but similar to in character. DocLock (11189) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 22, 2012
Bottle from Capone’s and Wegman’s Collegeville. Pours turbid clay muddy colored with a finger or so of clingy off-white head. Nose is malt, earthy corn flakes, vegetal, and rather abhorrent. Tastes malty, earthy, defnitely vegetal, and not good. This one looks OK, but smells and tastes pretty bad. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 22, 2012
12oz. Bottle: Aroma of malt, nuts, toasted caramel, and some bread. Poured deep orange in color with a small, creamy, dense, loose, off-white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of malt, toasting, toasted caramel, nuts, and a hint of wheat. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Medium sweet, slightly bitter, malt, toast, nut, toasted caramel finish is dry. 10.9%ABV is completely hidden throughout. r464 (2377) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2012
Deep orangey copper in color with an off-white head. Malty, somewhat sweet, with a taste of toffee, nuts, and orange. Smooth with a creamy finish. A hint of hops, but not at all bitter. Lemke10 (996) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 18, 2012
I bought a single bottle of this as part of a M&M 6-pack at Everett’s in South Beloit, IL.
Pours a medium brown color with slight bubbles of carbonation rising to the top, however there is not much of a head to this beer. Has an overall nutty scent with some scent of wheats. The first taste that hits you is the nutty flavor mixed with biscuit. It’s a smooth, refreshing, bold taste that finishes clean and dry. Decent brew but leaves a chalky after taste that I don’t care for too much.
