COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An interpretation of an original pilsener. Clean, strong, dry, and supper hoppy. In Germany this is called an Ur-Pils. Here in America, we call it an Imperial Pils. Brewed with two-row and Cara pils malts, with Magnum Tettnang and Herkules hops.

Pours a hazy orange with thick white head, lots of lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, apricots, slight herbs, grass, and a slight earthy character. Taste matches well with an additional forward grapefruit taste. Finishes just a bit slick, but dry. I would not have identified this to anything near a pilsner or Imperial Pilsner, but a decent brew no matter what they call it.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2014 Bottle: Murky, opaque amber-orange body with huge chunks of nasty looking beige sediment all over the place. Chunky, fat white foam settles to a soapy collar; moderate lacing. Aroma of honey, sweet cereal grains, pale malt, & maybe some grassy lemon notes. Bland, not as hoppy as advertised. Tastes of stale cereal coated in honey. Imagine Lucky Charms (the oat pieces, not the marshmallows), but kind of old... Hard to describe. Just... "Stale" tasting. Grainy, honey, pale malt sweetness. Almost too much. Hint of earthy, lightly floral bitterness in the finish. Overall, just not an enjoyable beer to drink.

Draft at Atwater in the Park - pours a clear medium gold . Lots of spicy hops on the nose . Taste is very clean with nice herbal spicy hops . Very nice . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flavors of orange zest, floral hops and wheat. Strong hop bitterness. Crisp citrus finish and good carbonation make this a nice summer brew.

12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm. Labeled 6.8%. Bottled May 2013... Sheeeit. Hazy orange color, lots of yeast in the body. Thin finger of white head. Decent ridges of head. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Kind of a soapy hop aroma. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Some caramel bready malt, light pepper, light citrus. OK, despite being a year old. You can taste some of the age though and it doesn’t do the beer any favors.

Bottle. Murky orange pour with a spotty white head. Grassy / grainy, with a pretty solid amount of hop kick. Seems more like an APA than a pils.

Bottle. Pours orange gold with white head. Nose/taste of toasted bread, peppercorn and touch of orange zest. Medium body.

12 oz bottle. The pour is definitely not as clear as I'd expect in a pilsner. The color is a dark gold and remains relatively foggy. The lace on the glass is beautiful from a large, quick dissipating head. The aroma is very grassy and light. There are hints of malt, but mostly very grainy. The immediate flavor dominates with malt and then fades through a sweetness, to more of a bitter, somewhat hoppy, finish like a light IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fairly light in color and transparent. Medium white head. Bitter. Tastes like a fairly strong IPA. Not much pils character - it seems to lose that identity with the higher ABV and malt content. I would have preferred some Saaz hops.

Draft sample. Poured clear golden color with medium frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium complex balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

12oz bottle. A surprisingly well executed rendition. Grassy hops, dry and bitter, with a big, but not overwhelming malt body. Fruity underlying yeast tones almost like a heller bock. If they could just adjust the fruity tastes down a bit, which grow more and more ale-like, this would be a phenomenal beer. Still pretty nice as it is.
