Too much sweet vanilla flavor and not enough coffee flavor to have java in the name. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Bottle. Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma is largely vanilla, with coffee and chocolate notes. Taste follows nose. Finish is sweet vanilla.

3/1016 Thin, no body to speak of, nice carbonation. Smooth. Medium sweet. no hop bitterness at all, either when drinking or as an aftertaste. Notes of coffee and caramel . Not much character. Boring. Very drinkable, but why bother? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle; pours nearly black with a tan head; aroma of roasted malt with vanilla, chocolate, and a hint of coffee; taste is light bitter with roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, and just a touch of coffee; dry, roasted finish; coffee is pretty subtle also a bit thin

Pours a very dark brown with a ring of tan head. Aroma smoky vanilla java. Flavor carries nice vanilla character but feels a bit watered down. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle from a grocery store in Upper Michigan. This bottle reads 5% ABV. Aroma is strong in vanilla, chocolate, coffee; roasty, hint of licorice. Pours dark dark brown to black with a one finger beige head that falls into a ring after a minute; leaves a bit of lace. Taste is sweet and roasty, finishing with a slightly dry bitterness; flavors are chocolate, vanilla, coffee, wet stone. This is really good. I don’t understand the low scores for this. I can’t find anything wrong with it.

B-. Pours a black color with khaki head. Good vanilla, but after taste is lacking

Cola brown pour with minimal tan head. Aroma of vanilla, roasted malt, and some chocolate. Prominant vanilla flavor with some roasted malt. Okay.

Bebum (1061) - Massachusetts, USA - MAR 4, 2017
Dark brown, clear, tall, lasting brown head. Intense chocolate, coffee aroma. Full body, aggressive flavor, lean but smooth mouthfeel with low heat and carbonation, lingering and tasty aftertaste. Bitter, very dry, briefly appearing to be sweet. Aggressive roast character, ashy, tastes like roast barley. Beautiful flavors of quality coffee and chocolate, vanilla in the background, obviously added flavors. Even if not very subtle, a great experience. Just wish for a little sweetness, but after all it’s not a stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft to taster at Cincy beerfest 2017 pour opaque black with thin ecru head. Nose light roast, mild vanilla. Taste red fruit, light roast, hint of vanilla. Light bitter finish. Thin and not much coffee.

llcooldave (1222) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - JAN 29, 2017
Pours a very opaque black in the glass. Great tasting coffee mocha flavor with a hint of dried fruit and nuts almost like a Chunky bar. Coffee liqueur aroma with a hint of Oreo cookies. Overall, a great tasting beer for the cool weather.
