Opaque black beer, pale tan head. Softish palate, crisp and minerally edge. Minerally dark malt, not heavy, roasty or bitter. Mild tangy fruits in the undertone - orange and darker fruits. Cocoa powder chocolate dominates before the minerally dry finish. Pretty light for it’s abv and with good flavour!
Bottle courtesy of CaptainCougar, thanks! Dark maroon brown, small fluffy brown head. Aroma of chocolate liqueur and subtle licorice. Taste is silky dark chocolate candy with a darker chocolate liquor center. Tasty. Ratman197 (14830) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roastiness, coffee, bitter chocolate and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla, light coffee and light roastiness with a smooth lingering chocolate finish. Tmoney99 (14479) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 3, 2012
Draft. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate, licorice and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy toasted dark sweet malt flavor with a medium to heavy chocolate sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This beer exceeded my expectations.

Sample at the Big Tap In on 04/20/2013. Opaque brown-black pour with a medium khaki head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, malt and hops.
