75cl bb09/2018, from Saveur, finalement. - Deep rustic red-mahogani pour with impressively dense beige crema head: it could cushion a cantuccino. The final pour sees 1cm of chunky copper yeast sediment. - Aroma&taste: an engaging, rare malty-metallic mix between saison, dubbel and Alt. Nose of fallen leaves and raisins, rain water and fresh Alt-hops - unfortunately also a good whiff of Schnaps alcools at 7%, apparently this comes with quite a few BdG. - Metallic-dry, slightly walnut-sourish and young oak mouthfeel transporting a host of autumnal, caramel and nutty flavours, from walnuts rotten unpicked in their shells down to the rusting trellis they fell down against. Massive sweet liquorice stick, chicoree root, Muckefuck. - Has its flaws, but those are all flaws of interest to the terroir. - Went rather well with Ottolenghi chicken shawarma on Ash Wednesday.

Lavt mokkafarget skum. Metallisk maltaroma. Mye kullsyre. Smaken lett fruktig. Sånn passe.

Big 750ml cork and wire bottle shared with Odd, Finn, Egil Børge and Leif. Opens with a big shot, cork in the roof, gusher tendencies . Stable beige head, spotty lacing, dark brown body with a ruby shade. Mid-sweet aroma of caramel malts and berries. Rather comprehensive taste character of berries, fruity malts, oak and species. Dry malty sweet ending. Well bodied. Pretty nice. (Tasting of Christmas beers, Tromsø 18.11.2017).
