COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
All-American Pale Ale brewed with US grown malted barley and hops! “IDA” is pale and crisp with a medium bodied malt profile. A star-spangled hop cast provides a rich piney and citrus notes and just enough bitterness to tame the malt sweetness. Independence Day Ale is the best choice for slaking the neat on a hot July day. Sweet citrusy and green smelling hop aroma come from this hazy blonde brew. Smooth carb medium body kinda sweet with that citrus hop flavor up front. The end is creamy and leaves slight film on your tongue with the taste of fresh green hops.

a red paleale touted by our waitress to be aggressively hopped, but definitely not next to the PU240. This red ale actually had a very very nice nutty and toffee maltiness to it that balanced out the noticeable but barely aggressive hops very well. poured pretty dark red. fairly aromatic, with subtle well blended flavors. clean and light...does not linger

On tap @ AA

A really refreshing pale ale that was distinctly different from their American River pale. A little smoother tasting, not quite as hoppy with more balance to the hop/malt ratio. Piney/earthy hops in both the aroma and palate made me think of SN’s Pale Ale or Drake’s 1500 on more than one occasion. "

Pours a half finger of head on a slightly hazy light straw colored body.
The aroma is lemon with some musty grapefruit.
The taste has moderate grapefruit bitterness, a little metallic in the middle, and finishes with a touch of sweetness.
The texture is crisp with a little fizz.
It’s a little too "grapefruit" bitter for me. But fine nonetheless.

Draft at the brewpub. Strong citrus in the nose, with some piney notes as well. Yellow color, large white head. Taste is oranges with a touch of malt sweetness. Smells much more hop forward than it tastes though. Some hops in the finish dry it out, but the hop flavor just doesn’t seem to be there.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is so fruity it suggests peach. Med body or close. Flavor is fruity stone fruits over caramel, and it’s pretty bitter. Excellent.

On tap at Capitol Beer. Pours clear golden with a nice white head and a citrus aroma. There is a medium-bodied pale malt flavor with a moderately bitter finish.

On tap at the brewery. Really great classic pale here. Perfect malt to hop ratio. Balanced. Bitter pineapples in somewhere. Nice and long hopped up finish.

Half pint on tap at the brewpub. The aroma has a really nice orange and citrus hop goodness to it. Lightly catty, too. Nice. Transparent dark golden body with a small white head. Starts with a nice, flavorful, catty, dank hop flavor. Light astringency in the middle. Finishes with moderate, piney bitterness. Tasty stuff.

savnac (2656) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - SEP 6, 2012
Draft at Auburn. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is all PacNW hops with just some light cracker malt. Flavor is fairly bitter with the malt just there for balance. Medium to light body and lively carbonation. Great Pale, big hop aroma and flavor and cleanly fermented.
