COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the isotope essential for nuclear grade weapons, this Weapons Grade Ale is the hop bomb you didnt see coming! At 100 bittering units, PU240 captures the explosive hop flavor and aroma necessary to acheive a critical mass that you wont find in other high-hop ales. A classified and combustible amount of Summit and Galena hops along with a double Dry-hop bombardment of Simcoe, Columbus and Nugget contribute to PU240s high rate of spontaneous hop fusion.

50cl bottle pours with a crystal clear deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up soft tangelo and tangerine notes as well as a sense of pine hops, floral hops and a light biscuit maltiness. The taste delivers an interesting blend of tangerine citrus candy, a thin juicy cantaloupe and pineapple note right up against bitter pine hops and bitter floral. Toward midway the pine and floral hop near resiny bitterness joins up with thin bready to biscuit like maltiness. This has an interesting contrast of flavors as the candy citrus doesnt play well with the near resiny bitter notes and maltiness. Still, this delivers a good load of fairly fresh hoppiness when the mood strikes.

On tap at Hopwater Distribution. Clear golden / orange coloured pour with a. Lasting uniform white froth. Aroma is nice sticky orange peel, pineapple, some biscuity grains, some pine needle. Flavour is composed of semi sweet little caramel, orange rind, sharp citrus, sticky hop resin, slightly chewy. Palate is semi sweet, caramel, sticky resinous hop, sticky. Hides the abv pretty well, assertive hop bitterness. Pretty well balanced if a bit on the sweet side.

Pours a nice amber... Pretty hoppy, but at the same time very smooth. Doesn't have a lot of malty flavor. This is a really good IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle pour, shared. Thanks Keven. Pours a thick dark orange color with a big bubbly head. Huge hop aroma. Dry flavor, hop forward, orange, and a bitter hop finish. Definitely an imperial. Tastes as strong as it is. Dusty. A refreshing step away from the typical IIPA. Nicely done overall.

On tap @ Auburn Alehouse. A bit on the amber side of orange. Lots of white foam. Sweet pineapple, peach, and apricot. Slight citrus zest note and some caramel. Sweet tasting beer, though theres a decent bitterness in the finish. Lots of citrus rind and sweet stone fruits. A bit boozy as it warms up.

Bomber bottle, thanks to my cuz, Jeff! Aroma is a lot of simcoe hops. Taste is a multitude of hops that finish pretty cleanly. Palate is hoppy and a little too much. Overall, a decent double IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The 22-oz bottle poured a clear amber color with a robust off-white head. Good retention. Nose brings an aroma of pine and grapefruit. Medium body and resinous mouth feel Flavor packs a lot of hops with citrus and pine on good malts. The finish is quite bitter. Quite nice. pDark amber color with a creamy off-white head. Nice citrus/pine aromas.

Bomber from Hayduke. I like the label art reminiscent of WWII airplane nose art. Poured at 50F and given time to warm from there. This beer is honey gold and almost at all. I smell tangerines and tropical fruit. Some pine. First sip is big bitterness that is citrus. It is astringent, too, and quite sour. This is just short of mouth puckering. At 60F something like camomile is tasted. This is a bitterness hop bomb, plain and simple.
