bottle. I have to assume it’s in bad shape, but these beers don’t do well in bottles, generally. this one had an aroma which was nice enough, focused on toast bread and nuts, though too yeasty. developing aroma and sustained flavor of creamed, browned bananas and soapy and floral esters. nutty, toasty and frothy, as is a lot of German lager, but very unclean, yeasty and sludgy and acidic, even chunky, that word comes to mind. ElDesmadre (3627) - Mikołów, POLAND - SEP 24, 2012
Bottle. Hazy amber with a head that dissipates rather quickly. Bready, toasted, light caramelly malty nose, with a fungus-like yeasty note and some wet wood. Basement aromas allright. Oh, some minor nuttiness, toffee and hops as well. Light sweet main part, outbalanced by a strong bitterness that is a bit overwhelming. Dry, nutty and toasted finish. A bit out of balance but nice enough. mile (3947) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 15, 2012
Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty - grainy and lightly sweetish aroma, some bread and light hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty - grainy and lightly sweetish, some bread and light herbal hoppyness. Finish is average, malty - grainy and dryish, some bread and light herbal hoppyness. OK dryish and grainy kellerbier with decent bitterness. kevnic2008 (11996) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - AUG 8, 2012

ganache (5898) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 26, 2012
Swing-top by 22.03.12. Nice bready/doughy nose, a little wild with that signature Aufsesser yeast signature/spagh, and light nutty roast. Deep golden body with a rocky beige head. Taste is relatively dry, citrus is subdued, still a nice malt character despite the thinness, also some pretzel. Stroke of acidity and again the hint of wildness. Light-bodied and very repeatable. Seems like the experience with this one varies; mine was a good one. jfb (6256) - GERMANY - DEC 31, 2011
