COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hybrid US/UK pale ale.
With an abundance of hops and a sweet caramel backbone, this is a true session beer. A grassy, nutty and flavourful malt body is balanced by citrusy hops and a touch of spice. Clocking in at 34IBU’s, this beer is just bitter enough to keep the hopheads coming back without being crushingly dry or astringent.

Note: Also available dry hopped as Augusta Ale Extra Hoppy (AAXH).

On tap at Burger Bar and in cans from LCBO. Dark yellow, small white foamy head. Fruity hop and malt aroma. Taste is very good - generously fruity hopped over a medium body that seems well carbonated with a long bitter longer. A perfect session beer. Certainly better fresh on tap vs. in the can, yet the can does retain that flavourful bitter "session"ability in the beer that I enjoy. A solid ale.

473 mL can. Pours a clear bronze with a thick foamy lasting head. Nice hoppy IPA like aroma. Citrus, lanolin and deep rich malt. Sweet with caramel and orange notes, slightly bittered finish. Waxy texture with moderate carbonation and a sticky finish. A nice well rounded ale with a good hoppy bite, but nothing outstanding.

473 ml can. Can’t really say what it looks like, since I drank it out of the can. I’m sure it’s very pretty. Hard to tell the aroma either, although I do get some floral hoppiness if I really try. Doesn’t really taste lile much, although it is very clean and drinkable. Good dock beer. I should probably try to find it on tap, or do this properly out of a glass.

Pours a crystal clear, light amber with a small fizzy white top. Aroma is faint grain with faint hop. Taste is clean but fairly boring. Little hop presence. Really not interesting.

473mL can from the LCBOh. Pours a pale gold with a small white head. Aroma has some nice citrusy hop zing on top of a really nice, worty malt body. Flavour is malt-forward with some nice sweet barley, honeysuckle, and a mild hop dryness in the finish with descending notes of hop flavour. Somewhat creamy feel on the palate. Over-all not really much hop activity though, which is a bit of a disappointment. It’s a somewhat well-balanced session-ale, but perhaps a bit too tame for the way the Ontario craft beer market is going. I’d still gladly drink this again though, but it’s nothing worthy of serious note.

473ml can from the LCBO. light ornage with a lasting off white head. simple pale ale. not enough late hopping for my tastes. would have been a great beer in ontarios market 5 years ago but we have much better APA options now. scroll past and grab some crazy canuck.

473mL can from LCBO. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aroma is pleasantly fruity, with a little pepper. Taste is peppery, with a slight bitterness up front, that moves into floral flavours, and finishes up with a moderately bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

This is my favourite beer. I’m so excited that it’s in cans now so I can enjoy it at home!!!

Pours a solid orange to amber, with a bubbly creamy head. Citrus on the nose, cilantro even. Full flavour, bitter, true hop head style of beer. Enjoyable.
