COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hybrid US/UK pale ale.
With an abundance of hops and a sweet caramel backbone, this is a true session beer. A grassy, nutty and flavourful malt body is balanced by citrusy hops and a touch of spice. Clocking in at 34IBU’s, this beer is just bitter enough to keep the hopheads coming back without being crushingly dry or astringent.

Note: Also available dry hopped as Augusta Ale Extra Hoppy (AAXH).

Slight malty aroma. Clear warm golden colour. Slight caramel sweetness at the front with a quenching bitterness towards the end. Medium body and mild carbonation. A fine ale, but not too exciting

Pours cloudy amber with a big creamy white head. Has a grainy aroma with citrus and hops. Tastes of citrus fruits,  caramel and bitter hops. It has a dry finish with some sweet notes. Enjoyable beer.

Tap. Nice nectar-amber pour with slight white head. Solid hop flavour that finishes fairly clean and dry. Not as bitter in the finish as I expected with the fairly prominent hops otherwise. Touch of spice and caramel. Not bad at all.

HippyHop (691) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 13, 2015
Pour is cloudy gold with a thick long-lasting white cap. Nose is pale grainy malt with a nice dose of floral/citrus hops. Sort of rinds me of a lighter hopped version of Rhyme and Reason. A pleasant surprise

473 ml can. Poured a dark yellow/light copper colour, with a good creamy head and average carbonation. Good aromas, some barley malts, light hops and a hint of vanilla. Nice smooth mouthfeel, little tangy on the palate, no noticeable aftertaste. Light roasted malt flavours, with some citrus coming through giving it the mild hoppiness. Pretty good stuff.

CacheManyHose (767) - HONG KONG - DEC 31, 2014
Can from LCBO and drank at the farm in Calabogie. Very cloudy opaque tan-orange, some fizziness, minimal white head. Smells of orange, apricot, faint and muddy. Tastes sharply fizzy, orange juice, bitter finish. Body is fizzy, starts out slightly sweet and spicy and ends dry and bitter. Juicy, musty, bitter, drinkable.

HKdIPA (850) - HONG KONG - DEC 31, 2014
Can from LCBO at the Farm. Hazy (almost muddied) orange pour. Aroma is a bit metallic and sour, some sweet maltiness tempered by citrus hops. Nice. Taste has less going on - still hoppy bitter, surprisingly rich malts. Crisp bitter dry finish with some lingering sweetness. Much fuller flavored than other pale ales or IPAs of this type, but still a bit lacking compared to the bigger IPAs I prefer. Good session IPA, only a solid IPA.

Can. Bronze body, average white head. Lightly toasty malts, a hint if green hop character, low bitterness.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2014 Pours a cloudy, murky amber, with a soft billowing white head, leaving behind considerable lacing. Aromas are muted, with only light citrus discernable. Palate is fairly dry. Tastes are of citrus, tangerine, and light vanilla. Finishes with some hop bitterness. Overall, a very understated beer, but it does wield a deft hand in delivering an enjoyable beer.
