Cloudy yellow with moderate, slow-dissipating head. Aroma is mostly of alcohol. Warm thick rich flavor and mouthfeel, yeasty and with a hint of banana. Comforting. Strangebrewer (1309) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 29, 2016

0,33l Flasche St. Stefanus mit 7,0%. Dunkelgelbes Bier, heller Schaum. Es duftet nach Holzfass, leichte Süsse. Antrunk kräftiger Blütenhonig, nur leicht bitter. Recht süffig. The_Osprey (8010) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2016
330ml bottle at home in Richmond as ’St. Stefanus Biere d’Abbaye Belge Anno 1295 Blonde’, 7%, BB 2018. Many thanks to ’Secret Santa’. Amber orange, translucent, highly sparkling with a huge foamy white head. Aroma is talc, rich moisturiser on skin, definite Dove moisturiser, some MDF wood and cork. Body is very frothy but not noticeably overcarbonated, tingly carbonation just turns the whole thing to froth straight away. Has quite a full, rounded mouthfeel. Taste is crisp with a carbonic bite, sweet toffee and candi sugar, some bready notes in the background, touch of booze drying it out in the finish, some lingering breathy hop. An accomplished commercial Belgian ale. No complaints from me - could definitely drink a few of these in an evening. Cunningham (7990) - Halden, NORWAY - DEC 8, 2016
Lovely tasty Belgian blonde!
Hazed deep golden color with a fine white head. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a smooth carbonation level. Nice mellow sweetness and a bit oily texture. Wheat, banana, some spices, fruity and some Belgian yeast in the flavor.
