Cloudy yellow with a good head, sweet fruit aroma, taste reminds me of Christmas, like drinking a rich Dundee fruit cake with royal icing but with a bitter aftertaste, another great Belgian beer.

Yellow colout with a frothy white head. Aroma of hot alcohol. Very highly carbonated.

330 ml bottle. BBE 23.12.2012.
Pours a light yellow colour with a small foamy head. Somewhat lacy. Aroma of hay and caramel malts. Flavour of caramel malts, sweet tropical fruits, mild spices and hay. Medium bodied with a slick, slightly foamy mouthfeel with a dry, warming and sweet fruity finish. Pretty much the same as Blond but with more alcohol.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2011 Bottle into Chimay Trappist glass. It’s a cloudy golden orange color with a HUGE 4 finger white head that’s very dense and takes quite some time to diminish. 20 minutes later, it’s still here. I can see a lot of carbonation. Aroma is grassy, spicy and sour with a booze tinge. Taste is quite sweet with some spicyness and a bitter citrus finish. Palate is too cloying, lots of CO2, moderate aftertaste. Nothing negative struck me and it’s pretty good, but not memorable. A little too sweet for my tastes to be honest.

Bottle from Asao. Rich honey malt aroma with citrus and a bit of spice. Quite champagne-like, actually. Medium gold with a high head. Sweet, honey and biscuit malt flavor, slightly spicy, fruit, including sweet orange, champagne. Finished very dry, dusty, and then mildly but lastingly bitter. Interesting stuff. Light, airy body, nicely carbonated, interresting.

Light, balanced and very much like a blond ale, there’s a hint of apricot and apple in the taste, aroma has a hint of candy

Pale golden with white head. Yeasty aroma with lemon and licorice. A bit too harsh palate, but nice bittersweet flavour with a bitter finish.

Pretty classic Belgian with typical features. Amber to orange color with a hint of spice and lots of carbonation and hops. It’s got a sticky head.
