330mL bottle, pours golden orange with a big white. Aroma of yeast, citrus, banana and orange peel zest. Flavour of spice, orange peel and citrus, with hops on the finish. A bit thin on the mouthful and unbalanced, but still alright.

clear yellow, huge white head that ends up being a bit fluffy. nice mellow blended very belgian aroma of spices, banana, yellow fruits. comes off very well balanced and sort of velvety. flavor is spicy, yellow fruity, strong from the alc, bitterhoppy towards the end, this doesnt work very well as it ends up with banana and hops bitterness dominating in an unbalanced way. Seems like the spices and yellow fruits lasts shorter than the bitter banana. still a very good beer.

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity not wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained normale carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear golden color and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a fruity touch. This beer smells fruity.

Pours golden yellow with a thick head and a lot of carbonation. Aroma is of spice, light fruits (apples, rasins, etc). Taste is full of spice with a hint of alcohol and fruit. Not bad, but doesnt compare to most other belgian strong ales.

Had this on-tap Saturday at the Sharp Edge. Served in an Augustijn goblet. A- Body is a near transparent very pale golden yellow with a thin creamy eggshell white head that has decent retention. Tiny bubbles are seen constantly rising to the top. S- Smell is dry and fruity. Apples and citrus come through with hints of wheat, Belgian spices, and hops. T- Taste is subtle and smooth. Dry apples and citrus upfront with a grainy spicy yeast backbone. A touch of hops is added for the finish which is pretty clean and dry. Subtleties from the initial flavor linger on the palate with the slightest touch of alcohol. P- Very champagne-like mouthfeel with high carbonation and light body. O- 9% ABV is well hidden here. This is a nice light and drinkable BSPA. Its delicate and subtle flavors made it fitting to enjoy with my dinner and conversation. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 09-24-2007 17:16:56

Appearance: Pours a slightly paler gold color than the blond one. Huge, airy head that leaves a small, messy lace-chunks on the glass-side.
Aroma: Restrained, but refreshing, peppery, coriander sprinkled, dry-muscat grape notes.
Flavor: Dry herbalish, lime-peels, spices like coriander and cumin with celery or asparagus notes up-front. It retains its dryness till the end, but the definite mustcat-grape sweetness at the medium-palate adds a a really unique experience. Dictinct herbal dryness at the finish.
Mouthfeel/Palate: Thick, strong blond ale with tickling carbonation and mild viscousity. Artfully hidden alcohol warmth.
Overall: An absolutely dry, thick belgian ale with a nice herbal hop-profile. Memorable.

Pours out golden, blonde coloured, with a dense white head. Much carbonation. Aroma is orange and apples, some spices. Taste doesnt bring in the expectations by the aroma: some sourishness, bitterness and a quick finish. Some bitterness remains.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2011 Orange pour, medium off white head. Spicy aroma with yeast, grapes, malt and something fowl, like its past its due date. Flavour is better, some bitter liquorice and fruit, some sweet fruit and yeast. No reason to drink this again though. Edit: had a fresher/better cellared one, +1.0 (!)
