Cloudy yellow with a good head, sweet fruit aroma, taste reminds me of Christmas, like drinking a rich Dundee fruit cake with royal icing but with a bitter aftertaste, another great Belgian beer.

Hazy full gold with a lasting bubbly/rocky head. Nose is sweet and fruity and estery with notes of bready yeast and apricot and grape and apple with an earthy sort of herbal note. Flavor is very estery with a large tropical/dusty bright fruity tone, lots of complex yeast flavors with a lot of peach/pear/grape flavors and a backing malt sweetness that finishes a little dusty yet sweet apricoty. Slight bitterness throughout. Quite sexy.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2006 This is a truly marvelous beer. One of my staples at the Sharp Edge in Pittsburgh. Sampled again on draft this brew pours a straw yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with just a hint of a pleasant sour tang. The flavor is sweet and tangy with a light fruit flavor that yields to a yeastiness on the finish. There is a rather thick mouthfeel. Overall one of my favorite Belgian drafts.

Pours clear yellow. Head is very thick pure white that lasts with sheet lacing. Nose is fruity and full. Taste is malt with apple and very little bitterness. The after taste is complex with some hops. Belgian beers are the best!

Fluffy white head. Fizzy, Lots of carbonation. Sustained head as described. Wine/champagne-like aroma and along with the typical "Belgian" scents. Same with the flavor

Fine aroma with some flower notes. Disapointing appearance, low head. To much alcohol in the flavor. Sweet malt too. Very strong ale.

Pours a bright golden color with a great head and lace. To me balance is the main trademark in a great beer and this one has it down. Hides its high ABV extremely well, never tasting boozy and keeping a gentle taste of pear, grape and strong malt. Outstanding.
