On tap at Marktwirt in München. Nice head and a rich sweet nose with hints of chocolate and some fruity malty notes. Taste also sweetish with malty notes and some light hops. Nice draft companion for Bavarian food.

I drank this beer at home, coming from the beer of the world, Zürich. It is what we could expect from a dark Bavarian beer. There is a perfect balance between sweetness, caramel, roasted malt and hop but it is not in excess. It is a pleasant beer with a nice red Thai curry.

bonkiedeaap (761) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 28, 2016
Bottle from Bert’s Bierhuis in Utrecht, Holland. The beer is dark amber to brown colored and has a small and a little unstable creamy head, with enough carbonation. The aroma is malty, with tones of caramel, roasted malts, dried fruits and some nuts. Also a hint of cacao is noticable. The taste is malty and light sweet with tones of caramel, nuts and a little spicy bitterness is noticable. The finish is light dry and light bitter with fruit notes.

Draft at the brauhaus in Munchen. Deep dark garnet color topped by a lasting, lacy khaki head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, spice. Flavor is very good, really strong for the style, complex with prune, raisin, sweet sugar plum, spice notes. Medium body, soft carbonation. Excellent.

rozsoma (1021) - Gyõr, HUNGARY - MAR 12, 2016
Augustiner Bürgerheim, 2016 Starkbierzeit. Többet vártam tôle. Sokkal tőbbet. Halovány árnyék a bőr alatt. Emellett nagy szájpadláscsesztető szénsavas. Vizes, lehetett volna testesebb. Színe szép ében. Előíze büdös Banka, utóize emészthető.
