On tap at Stiftskeller. Aroma is sweet and biscuit malts. Taste is surprisingly fruity with some tropical notes in amongst the more expected malts and acetic flavours.

0.5 l bottle. Pours pale golden with quickly disappearing white head. Corn, sweet malts, some cooked vegetables in aroma. It has a sweet, malts dominated taste and a short, quite sweet finish. Light bodied, softly carbonated one. Overall overwhelmingly sweet for me, and quite unpleasant.

[backlog] 04-06-16 / 500ml bottle at Schick&Schön, Mainz. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 3/5

Nicely made German lager. Smooth and easy drinking session beer. A bit more flavour than standard lagers. Drank at Augustiner-Keller in Munich. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft @ Augustiner Braustuben. Gold pour with a substantial, creamy white head. Nose is effortlessly pleasing and easy going. Light straw. Gentle bready malt. A touch of grass. Flavor is nicely balanced. Mild hop bite. Slight pepper. Mildly sweet cracker. Light body, assertive carb. Pleasing.

Pours almost no head on a clear light straw body. Aroma is wet grain and honey. Taste has a nice bitter start, then some sweet, maybe too much sweetness. Texture is sticky.

Bottle from a random shop in Berlin. BB 11.2016. Pours very pale clear yellow. Bubbles from the bottom. Foam good, off-white, laces. On the nose it’s subtly floral, papery (in a rather positive way), doughy, slightly citric even. Tastes malty sweet with considerable yet very mellow hoppiness. Soft on the palate, rather enjoyable, carbonation mellow, body lightish medium. Nice brew, can’t complain. Does lose its appeal when warm though...

herrklemann (137) - AUSTRIA - JUL 8, 2016
UPDATED: JUL 9, 2016 Light gold with a stable medium white head. Aroma of hay, grass, herbs, notes of white bread and butter. Taste is lightly sweet, salty notes coming through. Light, slick body with lively carbonation and a nice, slightly bitter and salty finish. It’s not too light, doesn’t taste too strong, but it’s pleasant and refreshing. One of my favourite lagers if there’s nothing else available. I actually prefer it over most big Austrian Märzen/Lagers, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it.
