Sweet and sour. Has a strong malt taste and aroma. Is not the every day kind of beer but it’s definitely the type of trying something different once in a while. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Moravius (1517) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 13, 2018
Augustiner “Edelstoff“, Flasche (50 cl).

Frisch gezapft. Klar und golden mit mittelgroßer Schaumkrone. Süffig. Leicht malzig. Würzig. Milder Geschmack.

Bottle at Brewhouse & Kitchen, Bedford. Lager yellow, clear, with a ring of filmy white head. Lemon and lime aroma, very muted with grainy notes. Sweet taste, uncomplicated and refreshing. High but not excessive carbonation. Clean taste and goes well with food but maybe not all that exciting on its own.

Gut trinkbar, leider ohne hervorzustechen.

From Oct 2008 I *just* got this bottle today in a trade with jwc215. Thanks Joe! A light straw gold colour with a 1 finger head of foam. Good lacing and lots of bubbles. The smell is nice with a good bready malt presence and some good light lemon zestiness. I like. The taste is way good. Plenty of bread and grain up front with with the lemon hoppiness bringing up the rear and man, does this ever please my palate. I haven't had too many Helles lagers but this puppy sure doesn't lack when it comes to taste and drinkability. It's on the high side of light bodied and the carbonation is on the light side. The drinkability is top notch! Great brew, in my book.
