UPDATED: NOV 13, 2010 Thanks to Ramenen. Bottle: Looking at all the ratings I’ll have to re-try this one. A bit light and lacked character, boring. Re-Rate: Great Beer!

jsmerig (1749) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2018
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2018 Pours a clear dark mahogany aroma of maple syrup and honey. Taste is malty with a very large taste of honey followed by a dry earthy hop note.

Craftakt (288) - Hannover, Lower Saxony, GERMANY - FEB 2, 2018

Bottle. Dark ruby, head vanishes instantly. Aroma is metal, caramel, spices. Taste is rather sweet, caramel, honey, herbs, quite high carbonation.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2017 Aroma and flavor of rich malt with dark fruit tones. Bright red very clear. Low head retention. Low bitterness. Very smooth clean lager profile.

[email protected], Tampere, Finland. Soft, slightly strong nuances of malty nuts, some plum, caramel and bread. Balanced. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with malty dried dark fruits. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, good quality product though nothing special. 6 3 7 3 15

Brown color with red shine and stable head. Malty Aroma with some special taste of red berries (plums?, black currant? Can’t really say). Good balanced sweetness with bitterness.

Daboch (267) - Gdansk, POLAND - OCT 22, 2017
Ciemne herbaciano-wisniowego koloru piwo, niezła piana. Aromat słodowy z nutami palonymi. W smaku podobnie, głównie słod, posmak chleba, nuty palone, wyrazisty. Jeden z lepszych podwójnych koźlaków

GregMooreNH (395) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 18, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2017 Pours dark gold with thick, foamy head. Aroma is of nuts and bread. Flavor is plum, with a slight hop bite that builds and dissipates to a creamy aftertaste. Enjoyable, drinkable doppelbock that is going to set the world on fire, but won't let you down.

3.8
allmyvinyl (11321) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 30, 2017
Bottle at work thanks to Johannes. Pours clear ruby with a thin white head. Aromas are malty with a dried peel note. Raisins. Taste is sticky dried fruit. Clean finish.

3.4
floydslip (432) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 2, 2017
Dark amber beer with a thick foamy light tan head that lasts a long time. Nose of roasted nuts, brown sugar, and sweet vanilla. Flavor is similar with almonds, caramel, and sweet grain finished with a mild somewhat fruity bitterness. Pretty good, but the the combination of flavors is a bit strange.
