tgrtnr (259) - Augsburg, Bavaria, GERMANY - SEP 18, 2017
500 ml bottle. Pours bright golden with decent white head. Grain, bread, hay, citrus. Malty sweetness with slight bitter hint. Lively carbonated, medium bodied. A bit dull though. Sticky finish. Average Märzen. Like a stronger Augustiner Hell.

Moravius (1370) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 12, 2017
„Augustinerbräu Oktoberfest Bier“, Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Satt goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase breites helles Malz mit Weißbrot, leichte Honigsüße, zarter kräuteriger Hopfen. - Antrunk breit hellmalzig-malzsüß. Dezenter, leicht hopfenwürzig-kräuteriger Hopfen. Durchschnittlich rezent, vollmundig, alkoholisch. Zu blasser Abgang. - Eher ein angedicktes Helles als ein echtes Märzen. Aromatisch ein wenig schmalspurig aber gut trinkbar.

ThirstyBird (2967) - Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2017
On tap at the Manchester Beer Festival. Pours a clear golden yellow with an off white head. The smell is toasted grain, grass, hint of honey sweetness. The taste is sweet toasted malt, grass, some light fruit ending somewhat hoppy and dry. Light+ in body with fine carbonation...quite smooth.

jjsint (3316) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2017
Bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Drunk at home. Straw, clear with a thin head and a fair bit of carbonation. Malt with an earthy/leafy/muddy note. The taste is sweet with a note of citrus bitterness in the end. Thin body with notes of honey in the aftertaste. It’s not a great beer but it’s drinkable enough on a Saturday night.

Nose is malt, dough, straw wheat, faint lime: appealing. Taste is caramel, cereal, dough, lightly spicy in the finish. Mouthfeel is tacky. It’s a very nice example.

Bottle. Pours clear pale with thick white head. Aroma of malts, bread, toast, straw. Moderate bitter, malty bacground. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation, light bitter finish.

Bottled. A clear, pale amber colour with a small white head that soon disappeared. Biscuity yeast aromas and sweet, biscuity flavours. Some acidity to balance. Hides its ABV well!
