THere is quite a lot of power behind this golden beer. Head is modest but there is a nice firm and slightly rough and lingering thirst quenching bitterness that really fires up the taste buds. Does exactly what an Oktoberfest Bier should do. Cunningly lethal too.
Can’t understand why reviews tend to be low. Could easily drink multiple steins of this. Another top notch Augustiner beer. Gluti (40) - - NOV 28, 2012

Fine in colour, good carbonated, full body, a harmonie in hopflavour, could be more aromatic, warm alcoholic and flowery
light caramel at the end Grzesiek79 (4378) - Radom, POLAND - NOV 17, 2012
Dobre piwo i chyba najlepsze oktoberfestowe z Monachium jakie zdażyło mi się wypić. Wielka piana na pół kufla. Żólty kolor i aromat słodowy. w Posmaku ciut słodkawym wyróżnia się świeże zboża i trawiaste zapachy. Polecam Cristobal37 (1191) - Budapest, HUNGARY - OCT 15, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2015 I bought this bottle in Berlin. The shop keeper told me that this was the best Oktoberfest bier. I previously enjoyed the HB the most, but I have to say this one is quite a winner. The beginning of each autumn is prime time to enjoy this style. A bit stronger than a lager or summery refreshing beer. The toasted malt aroma is coupled with a smooth almost creamy head. Really enjoyable. Kita (2209) - Koper, SLOVENIA - OCT 14, 2012
Bottled, 0.5l. Clear golden color with large creamy white head and lively bubbles. Aroma of grainy malt with light bready note and grassy hops. Taste starts sweet malty with strong honey note and light, but fresh hoppy finish. Medium to full body, oily texture and averega carbonation in palate. Very tasty...

Il classico marzenone tedesco, che sa di poco ma che va giù a ettolitri, non per nulla... brnandersen (4065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 8, 2012
Draught at Augustiner Festhalle, Wiesn, Munich. Served as a Mass. Clear, golden-amber with a big, creamy white head. Light sweet-fruity aroma with caramel and bread malts, grassy hops, hints of citrus and grains. Light sweet taste. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter with grassy hops. Luckily this beer is easy drinkable even in larger quantities. Zum Wohl! BeerViking (4980) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2012
Bottle from Hol’Ab, pours a straw-gold with a thin white head and a biscuity and slightly floral nose. Crisp palate, an initial light hoppy bitterness with faint malty undertones turns dry and grassy in a refreshing finish. Mowbeer (325) - Pilsen, CZECH REPUBLIC - SEP 28, 2012
Bottled,Pours light golden with a white head.Aroma of malt and straw.with notes of grain,sweet malt,herbs,citrus,yeast,toffee and spicy hops. edpeg (904) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 25, 2012
Pale yellow clear body with white lacing creamy head. Aroma is malts, barnyard, some earthy aromas. Palate is slick, oily, carbonation soft mouthful. Taste is full bodied, very rich, texture is still thin. Flavors are malty base with end in a very nice fresh hoppy taste. Very drinkable, not bitter but has very enjoyable hoppy edge balancing out typical Munich helles taste.
