Typical German beer. Good but not exciting. Nice on a hot day- but that´s all. Can´t separate between the major brands from Germany. HopfenWeisse (1529) - - AUG 24, 2012
From old backlog. Clear yellow golden colour with big head. Aroma is malt, grassy. Flavour is malt and nice bit bitter hoppy beer. Would like to test again. kevnic2008 (11980) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - AUG 8, 2012
Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma is bread, hay, iron. Taste is bitter, sweet. Good Pils adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 2, 2012
Bottle @ Augustiner Bierhalle Munich (the one half way between Karlsplatz and Mariensplatz). Clear yellow appearance with an off white head. Lemon, straw, grassy, floral aroma. Grainy, pils malty, dry grassy flavor. Not real issues but a little boring. Gustlfan (9) - GERMANY - JUL 12, 2012 does not count
Very good Pils but if its only a bit to warm then it tastes a bit boring, so drink it cold
rauchbierlover (648) - Berlin, Berlin, GERMANY - JUN 5, 2012
33cl bottle. Pale golden bofy with a tall white head. Subtle hoppy aroma (grass). Taste is malty (bread), some citrus (lemon) with a nice grassy finish. ActiVesT (4) - - JUN 3, 2012 does not count
medium bitterness, lightly sour, Hops: herbs, grass. Malt: bread for sure. A bit higher in alcohol than usual pilsners (5,6%). Cuso (8616) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - MAY 30, 2012
Bottle from mein-biershop.de. Pale golden color with small white head. Malty aroma. Taste, malt, bitter hops, soapy notes. Bitter finish. Drinkable beer. BlackHaddock (7233) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2012
Brown 33cl bottle, best before May 2009, drank Jan 2009.
Poured into a Veltins Pilsner tulip (twice).
One of the clearest pilsners I’ve ever seen, very, very pale yellow, not even enough colour to call it golden. The fine looking white head that sat on top after each pour soon faded to lacing and wisps, shame.
Odourless, and I mean odourless. Even as the beer warms, no aromas could be found, gets my standard pilsner/lager score of 3.
Typical Bavarian pilsner feel and taste, clean, crisp and refreshing. Pilsners are not supposed to have strong flavours that knock you about and this one is no different. It does however keep it’s charactor throughout the drink, I mean it doesn’t go all metalic, or tinny and the last sip is as good as the first with no nasty aftertaste.
One of the better Pilsners I’ve had.
ganache (5855) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 9, 2012
Bottle by 08.12. Pale golden, creamy rocky bright white. Lightly sweet, perhaps a touch less juicy and more metallic than the tap Löwenbräu I just had (and seem to prefer), still some good hop juice and dries out . Light-medium body, not all that bitter.
