Really fresh and satisfying pils. Huge drying effect on the palate like a dry hopped desert. Tasty hoppy and straight forward beer. Malts are light and definitely play second fiddle to the hops. A great German pils. hbmason (1086) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 14, 2011
On tap and 12 oz. Bottle in the same sitting. Perfect example of the style. Great light rip and drinkable pils. Quinten (1062) - zaandam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 20, 2007
Golden color, nice creamy head, full on,...very best one, grainy, gentle hops.
Very well balance. venom666 (1025) - Elche, Alicante, SPAIN - JUN 7, 2014
Clear golden color with white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma. Bitter taste, with malts, hops and fruits. Very enjoyable and refreshing. caribou43 (1024) - Lausanne/Sevilla/Lima, SWITZERLAND - JUN 2, 2015
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2015 I love the pils and the bitter beer. In my opinion, it is a good one. There is the hop but it is not too strong. The colour is yellow clear and the carbonation is ok. I drank this beer in my hotel room after to buy it in the orterer getränk markt. It is a typical and good bayrisch pils to start a night or a good meal.

Bottle, Augustiner Brau-stuben, Munich. Nice sparkling colour, herbs in the aroma, bitter taste and hoppy dryness in the end. A classic german pilsener. I don’t understand why all the pilseners are only avaible in bottle in Bavaria, why can’t I get a draugt one anywhere? fdomig (1017) - München, GERMANY - JUL 14, 2013
330ml bottle. Aroma is grass, hops, light honey. Appearance is pale golden with a nice white head. Taste is bitter and very light sweet. Has a good, medium carbonation and leaves a fine dryness. Overall a very nice Pils. fantti (1017) - FINLAND - AUG 22, 2013
Pours very blond golden and clear, it looks very carbonated. Head is quite thick and leaves good lacing in the glass. Aroma has mostly hay-like hoppiness, butter and grass, there is also little sweetness. Taste is quite thin before grassy hoppiness starts to dominate. There is also little hay and yeast bread. Palate is very thin before hops jumps into the mouth in the middle taste. Quite refreshing, though there is a lot of butter. Basic pilsner, which has a nice hop kick, else this could be watery. There is clear butter in the aroma, but taste is drier and hoppier. drmet (964) - Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, GERMANY - APR 26, 2017
-pours a clear straw golden with a big, foamy, white head
-medium to high carbonation visible
-lemon,grainy,grassy,melon,nettle,her the nose
-medium to high bitterniss for the style
-light to medium body
An absolute classic German Pils with none of the shortcuts many other Macro Pilseners take.

Bottled. Clear golden colour. Medium head, which leaves some lace.
Floral hoppy aroma. Hoppy, slighty bitter, honeyish flavour. Ends in a hoppy, bitter finish with a little sweetness in it. A great pilsner. Thanks to joss for this further excellent Augustiner beer.
