Tap at brewery. Amber pour, lacy white head. Aroma of citrus, strong pine, honey. Nice aroma. Taste is piney, citrus and grapefruit hops. Balanced with honey / caramel hops. Nice bitter, crisp finish. Slightly oily palate. Solid beer. Too bad the customer service at this brewery sucks donkey balls. It’s like Oscar the grouch is bartending. I’m sure the labor pool in Austin is deep. Get some new bartenders. These ones are literally fucking trolls. Especially the chick with the shoulder tattoo. Total bitch. burg326 (5482) - Florida, USA - JUL 31, 2014
Poured an orangish amber color with aromas of dank hops, light caramel, big pine and resin notes as well. Flavors were light malt then punched in the mouth with hops. Big pine and resin flavors with some light citrus and tropical fruit notes. A solid beer where the abv is hidden well. drsandman (1464) - New York, USA - MAY 15, 2014
Can, NoLa hotel room during Yazz Fest 2014. Pours a hazy orange/amber with a med white head. Aroma is huge mango, pineapple, grapefruit... tropical hops. This thing is a gooey tropical fruit / hop bomb, very nice. Well balanced, medium (gooey) mouthfeel.. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAY 4, 2014
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a hazy golden color with a one finger white foamy head that leaves some light clingy lacing. There is some light carbonation softly moving up.
The smell was sweetened pine with a nice allocated caramel lightly touching the nose together.
The taste was sweet and bitter bursting through fairly harsh on the taste buds. There is a good bittersweet pine aftertaste leading into a dry finish.
On the palate, it sits about a light to medium on the body. This one’s got the right amount of carbonation for a DIPA to have an ample amount of bitterness to lead to a great harshness on the tongue and mouth, ABV - what ABV, I barely notice it, what great drinkability.
Overall, this is a very well done DIPA well worthy of having again and I would love to have this again especially next time right outa the can as it would make a great beer to sip on while fishing on the pier. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 26, 2014
Re-Release? thanks to angrypirate06. Pours with a hazed golden orange hued body and a large white head. Great lace and retention Hoppy aroma with marmalade, citrus, pine, and lightly tropical. Medium crystal, mild esters. Alcohol evident. Flavors are citrusy, mild toasted malt, a bit sticky, floral, tropical, pretty dry. A bit malt heavy for my tastes, but not bad at all. Medium body fuller carb.

Pours a hazy copper from the can with fluffy off-white head that leaves good lace. Aroma is strong resinous hop funk, cat piss and grass, a hint of caramel malt. Taste follows, resinous hoppy awesomeness with a bitter finish. Medium carbonation, a bit of a burn on the way down. Wow, this is pretty darn good. kidmartinek (4999) - austin, Texas, USA - MAR 12, 2014
Ridiculously good. That’s all you need to know. Too delicious to believe. Floral hop aroma with a punch to tickle the nose hinting at the medium-full body. Flavor is a hopsickle. Perfect. Smooth, awesome, delicious, flavorful. Best DIPA I can remember since the Conductor. Woodee82 (3) - Richmond, Alabama, USA - MAR 10, 2014 does not count
The smell of Citra is throughout. It starts off sweet with caramel and intense hoppiness but mellows out after. It’s a very smooth drinking DIPA and it’s worth finding and drinking it again. htnicholas (50) - California, USA - DEC 1, 2013
In 16oz can courtesy my son's Austin trading partner. Pours clear a golden slightly orange with an off white head and medium lacing. Moderate carbonation with a crisp and slick mouthfeel. The aroma is of citrus and pine with a touch of orange peel. The taste starts with crisp hop bitterness quickly balanced by a sweet malt backbone. Finish is of moderate hop bitterness and lingering notes of carmel. Outstanding beer. Frighteningly drinkable with little alcohol heat to bely it's relatively strong ABV.

Austin gotz hops aplenty in this monster can. Damn, wish I still drove a forklift so I could take the challenge. Think I may have switched my rating for #1 with this, but as I am a terrible rater and NOBODY should read mine, what’s the dif, eh? I look forward to ALL in this series.
