The smell of Citra is throughout. It starts off sweet with caramel and intense hoppiness but mellows out after. It’s a very smooth drinking DIPA and it’s worth finding and drinking it again. kidmartinek (4999) - austin, Texas, USA - MAR 12, 2014
Ridiculously good. That’s all you need to know. Too delicious to believe. Floral hop aroma with a punch to tickle the nose hinting at the medium-full body. Flavor is a hopsickle. Perfect. Smooth, awesome, delicious, flavorful. Best DIPA I can remember since the Conductor. pearlbeer (13) - Texas, USA - JUN 15, 2013
Pour from a 16z can. Nice amber color with a solid head and nice lacing. Clean hop aroma that eludes to the piney hops that lay ahead. Well balanced with a clean malt backbone. Citrus and pine hops are the star here, and star they do.
Beer would be better with a bit more carbonation. I think the hops would pop a bit more and reduce the hot alcohol.
Great brew, ABW. Keep em coming.

Tasted from can. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with big fluffy white head with tons of lacing. Big citrus and tropical fruit aroma. Ton of grapefruit and lemon rind. Taste is also very citrusy with a little pine. A caramel and honey malt backbone. Moderate bitterness with mild to moderate sweetness. Overall and excellent imperial IPA.

hazy golden amber with a small (almost pathetic, really) fizzy white head. poor retention and no lacing. mango, pineapple, apricot, papaya, tangerine, resin, caramel, honey, flowers. very bitter, very sweet, slightly spicy. full body, thick and oily feel that coats your tongue, light carbonation, long bitter finish. i sort of feel like there’s more going on in the aroma than there needs to be, but it reminds me a lot of maharaja which is my #1 double ipa that i just ran out of, so im a happy camper. of what i’ve had, this is austin beerworks’s strongest offering.

(16oz can thanks Trey) cloudy bright rustic gold, soapy tan bubbles that last. Nose is very tropical, pineapple, candied citrus Peel, lightly oniony, dank. Taste of pineapple, onion more prominent as it warms, quite dank, creamy body, lasting dank finish. djd07 (14496) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 18, 2013
Can thanks to Will. Pours a cloudy orange with small creamy white head leaving spotty lacing. Aroma is grapefruit and citrus. Thick mouthfeel with strong pine, resin, dank and light pineapple. Easy to drink hiding alcohol well. Very impressive IIPA. htnicholas (50) - California, USA - DEC 1, 2013
In 16oz can courtesy my son's Austin trading partner. Pours clear a golden slightly orange with an off white head and medium lacing. Moderate carbonation with a crisp and slick mouthfeel. The aroma is of citrus and pine with a touch of orange peel. The taste starts with crisp hop bitterness quickly balanced by a sweet malt backbone. Finish is of moderate hop bitterness and lingering notes of carmel. Outstanding beer. Frighteningly drinkable with little alcohol heat to bely it's relatively strong ABV.

tap at brewery and can. orange/amber with a cream colored head. nose is pineapple, tropical fruits, chewy, sticky, and fresh. very smooth on the palate, florals, citrus, chewy hops, thick malt backbone, bitter finish. jbruner (4734) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - APR 1, 2014
Pours a hazy copper from the can with fluffy off-white head that leaves good lace. Aroma is strong resinous hop funk, cat piss and grass, a hint of caramel malt. Taste follows, resinous hoppy awesomeness with a bitter finish. Medium carbonation, a bit of a burn on the way down. Wow, this is pretty darn good.
