ciemne piwo z obfitą pianą, ktra po otwarciu wymknęła mi się z pod kontroli. W zapachu i smaku da się wyczuć szczeglnie kawę ale i chmiel.

Piwo lekko metne w kolorze ciemny braz z dosc obfita aczkolwiek niezbyt trwala piana. W aromacie malo intensywnie, mamy palone slody, karmel i kakao. To samo w smaku, polslodkie z goryczka i wysyceniem na srednim poziomie.

Bottle. Pours a clear darker brown beer with a large brownish head on top. Aroma of roasted coffee, brown sugar and toasted malts. Flavor is intense, coffee and light bittering hops and roasted malts. Very soft and slightly watery in the mouthfeel, long and lingering light bitter in the finish. Good stuff.

Aroma:
Slight aroma of malts, caramel, bread and roasted malts.

Appearance:
Turbid/opaque ruby/dark brown beer with medium yeast and with a large beige/brown head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts slightly/medium sweet with malts and caramel; ends slightly dry with bread and roasted malts.

Overall:
This beer is rather complex and balanced, but lacks intensity. The aroma is lacking so much, it is unreal. Even the taste is almost not there at all. Very dry and earthy overall, but the sweet start lacks enough to weigh the beer down.

I had the beer at the Kaapse Brouwers 2nd anniversary. The beer looks nice. The color of the beer is ruby red with a brown touch. The beer pours a nice almond brown foam. The beer is quite clear. The smell is quite simple. Its a little watery. There are some touches of hops in the smell. There is a little bread like malty sweetness. The taste is better. It has a nice hoppy fresh sweetness and again a breadlike touch. Its again a bit mild and shallow. The palate is simple to. The texture is a bit watery. I expected a bit more.
