Bottled. A brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of fruits, port wine, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, port, and alcohol, leading to a bitter finish. sjorsvdg (625) - NETHERLANDS - JAN 12, 2018
Leuk kerstbier.
Appearance: pours clear amber with ok off-white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste notes: brown sugar, bread, light chocolate, port and dark berry/fruity notes. palette: strong malty and port aroma, average carbonation, medium body, notable sweetness, somewhat balanced by an average bitterness, medium duration and an oily texture. Overall: Nice combination of an Belgian ale and port

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2017 Nice dark amber colour and of white head and a caramel nose. Taste is also sweet with malty and burnt sugar. Palate is rather short but still ok. MarcoBasile (467) - DENMARK - JUN 12, 2017
It’s a Belgian inspired brown ale mixed with Quinta do Pego port wine from Portugal. When mixed it’s technically a porter. So that’s that. It pours a murky brown coloured body with beige head. It looks almost pitch black in the glass. The aroma is quite underwhelming. There’s some subtle coffee notes along with some roasty notes too. But not much is going on (I might be having it a bit too cold). The taste on the other hand is where it’s at! The taste is immediately very dry and roasty. Like a dark roasted maltyness with dark berries and a sweet rush of that port wine. It still is on the more subtle side of things but it’s nice. The mouthfeel is light which makes the beer slide right down. Decent brew!

Medium beige head. Clear deep dark barely translucent reddish brown body. Dusty chocolatey toasted sugar aroma with liqueur notes. Sweetish earthy roasty taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Fizzy mouthfeel. Sweetish alcoholic earthy licorice aftertaste with spicy cardamom notes. Quite nice, but a bit odd. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly, Lørenskog.)
