Pours Amber unclear with a huge beige head. Aroma is zesty malts. Flavor is some lemon faded hops and bit malt flavors at 9 years old. There is a bite to the ending. madmitch76 (24511) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 20, 2012

Cloudy brown beer. Thick biscuit coloured head. Light soft palate. How does a six year old DIPA hold up? Actually not too bad - the caramel malt is to the fore. A little hop remains - spicy and grapefruit. Smooth soft finish with a little aniseed. Adds up to an interesting and well balanced beer.
bottle thanks to lumpy. poured an amber/gold with a white head and some lacing. aroma of caramel, brown sugar, and alcohol. flavor was the same. medium body and no carb. i really enjoyed this one. thanks lumpy. travita (4993) - Dallas, Texas, USA - FEB 23, 2009
Bottle thanks to Lumpy. The smell is cardboard, definetly past its prime, also hops, pine, and citrus. The look is clear, with a white head, and golden in color. The taste is malts, low bitterness, sort of blah. You can tell the bones might have been there but the meat fell off. ilovedarkbeer (2737) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - FEB 21, 2009
Bottle thanks to Lumpy. Pours a nice amber orange color with a small canvas colored head. Nose is wet paper, fruit, and earth. Taste is same with lots of sweetness. Sticky mouthfeel and medium finish that drops off quickly which shows its age.

2004 bottle thanks to lumpy. Obviously past its hop prime, but who makes a DIPA as an anniversary beer to age? Pours with a hazy orange body and a large head that fades and leaves good lace. Aroma is barley wine, malty, maple aroma, cardboard, fruits, dirt and no real hops. Similar malt profile to the Maharajah. Taste is sweet with cardboard, orange, caramel and light alcohol. Lively bubbles. SphinxTX (2875) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - FEB 20, 2009
Bottle thanks to Lumpy. Pours a hazy amber with off-white head. Aroma is malty, hoppy, some pine. Flavor has malt, brown sugar, cardboard, some grapefruit. Mouthfeel is heavy body with low-medium carbonation. Overall, this beer was pretty old when I had it tonight.....Has survived the years ok.... ucusty (2691) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JUN 4, 2008
Amber pour slightly over carbonated. Grapefruit and piney hops on the nose, which in my opinion is all this beer has to offer. I bet it was a great beer fresh. I wasn’t sure if I should rate this, but since it was still somewhat enjoyable im gonna go for it. Very sweet flavor profile that was no longer very well balanced.
